RE:   Personnel Evaluations

Thank you for submitting the resumes of the twelve men you have picked for managerial positions in your new organization.  All of them have now taken our battery of tests, and we have not only run the results through our computers, but also arranged personal interviews for each of them with our psychologist and vocation aptitude consultant.

It is the opinion of the staff that most of your nominees are lacking in background, education and vocational aptitude for the type of enterprise you are undertaking. They do not have the team concept.  We would recommend that you continue your search for persons of experience in managerial ability and proven capacity.  We have summarized the findings of our study below:
Simon Peter is emotional, unstable and given to fits of temper.

Andrew has absolutely no quality of leadership.

The two brothers, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, place personal interests above Company loyalty.

Thomas demonstrates a questioning attitude that would tend to undermine morale.

We believe it is our duty to tell you that Matthew has been blacklisted by the Greater Jerusalem Better Business Bureau.

James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus, definitely have radical leanings.  Additionally, they both registered high scores on the manic depressive scale.

However, one of the candidates shows great potential.  He's a man of ability and resourcefulness; he is a great networker; has a keen business mind; and has strong contacts in influential circles.  He's highly motivated, very ambitious and adept with financial matters.  We recommend Judas Iscariot as your Controller and Chief Operating Officer.

All the other profiles are self-explanatory. We wish you the utmost success in your new venture.
What if Jesus had chosen the twelve based on the modern methods of leadership selection?  Most of them would have never had a chance to participate.  Jesus chooses people not for who they are, but for what they can become in Him.  Aren't you glad that when Jesus looked at you, He didn't take you for what you were (a sinner); but He took you for what you could be?  Jesus sees the potential in all of us, and has called us to be disciples.  Jesus is still saying, "Follow Me!"

JESUS CHRIST WILL SATISFY YOUR SOUL WITH GOODNESS

"For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness." - Psalms 107:9

You might be expecting a particular blessing in your life and you might be praying so hard to receive that but nothing has happened so far. Your heart was filled with expectations as you are longing for God to bless you. You have cried a lot to Him but still you are waiting to see the goodness. Do not get discouraged.

Jesus Christ will grant goodness to you and He will satisfy your soul. Whatever you asked to Him, will be given to you says Holy Spirit. You will be blessed.

In John 11 we read about a man called Lazarus. He was sick and his sisters passed on the information to Jesus expecting Him to come and heal their brother. But Jesus stayed two more days in the place where he was. By that time Lazarus died and kept in a tomb.

When Jesus came to that particular city, He found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. The sisters were expecting God to do something when their brother was alive but then Jesus didn’t show up. When He came, everything seems to be over but yet Jesus Christ did a miracle and raised Lazarus from the dead. Jesus Christ filled their life with His goodness and mercy.

Recently I was talking to a girl. Once in a week I used to see her in my workplace and most of the times she will be energetic and happy. But few days back when I saw her she was in a shocking state. So I called her and enquired what happened to her.

She told me that she was celebrating her birthday on that day. As she was praying to God she felt irritated about the climate. Actually the climate was so hot for about a month in the place where we stay. As she felt irritated she wept to God asking Him to change the climate within the end of the day and told God that it will be the birthday gift He should be giving her for this birthday.

She prayed and then she didn’t give much thought about it. But on that day evening to her surprise the climate begun to change and after few hours it rained. It was a great surprise to so many people because for a month it was so hot without rain. But then God heard her prayer and changed the climate. When it rained she was so shocked to see that God loved her so much that He heard her prayer and gave her the birthday gift which she longed for.

My dear young friends, you might be longing for goodness. Jesus Christ will surely bless you. He will satisfy your soul with goodness and your expectation shall not be cut off. Jesus Christ will do this swiftly in its time. Continue to trust God. He will do mighty things in your life. God bless you.

JESUS CHRIST WILL CERTAINLY ATTEND TO THE VOICE OF YOUR PRAYER

"But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer." - Psalms 66:19

As you heart was filled with a great fear about your future, you might be praying with tears for a blessed future. You might be praying for a good job, good grades and a peaceful life. Do not get discouraged. God will certainly hear your prayers and He will bless you richly.

Years back God has brought a young guy into my life who was a great blessing to me. We stayed together in the same hostel for a year.  Basically he was a non-christian and accepted Christ as his saviour a year before I met him. The way he loved Christ was so amazing. He was studying bachelor degree at that time. As his course was about to end, he had a great fear about his future. He always spoke to me about his fear and anxiety.

Though he feared about his future, he learned to pour out his heart to God in prayer. There were times when I crossed his room at early morning 3 o clock, I have heard him praying with tears. Several days I had heard that. He waited God to bless him with a job before he finishes his course. He prayed for that a lot but yet he could not get a job.

His heart shattered as he failed to get a job in so many interviews that were conducted in the campus he studied. He had kept his trust in God and attended off campus interviews. Jesus Christ never failed him. He heard his prayers and blessed him with a job immediately which was a great blessing to him. He is still working in the same Multi-National company for the past 5 years. Few weeks back he called me and said that he is going to Germany officially for 9 months. What a blessing!

He belongs to an ordinary town in India. He had never thought that God will bless him in such a way. He is not that intelligent. He had his own failures. But Jesus Christ attended to the voice of his prayer and blessed him.

Even today you might feel like an ordinary guy. You might be longing for a job or promotion or anything. As you continue praying to God, He will hear your prayers and will bless you.

In 1 Samuel first chapter, we read about the life of Hannah. She was so desperate to have a child. Her rival provoked her and her life was so miserable. One day she ran to God’s presence. God heard her prayers and blessed her with a child who later became a prophet.

My dear young friends, God can do the same in your life. He will do much more than what he did in the life of the young guy I knew. Pour out your fears in prayer. Your prayers will be answered by God in His time. Jesus Christ will never leave you nor forsake you. He is your Father who loves to bless you abundantly. He will bless you and will give you His joy in abundance. God bless you.

JESUS CHRIST CARES FOR YOU SO MUCH. HE WILL REMOVE ALL YOUR BURDENS

“Cast all your anxiety on Him(God) because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

You might be carrying a lot of burden upon you and unnecessary worries. Today God wants you to cast all your worries and burden upon Him. Jesus Christ cares for you.

Recently it happened that I have to appear before an audit committee and present my work progress to them. I was told the day before and a great fear filled my heart as my progress was a bit slow. Somehow I told myself that this tension will prevail for the next 24 hours and then we can be fine after the audit.

I tried my best to skip the audit and so I went and asked one of my colleagues about the way of escape. He told me that I have to present myself compulsorily on that day. So I told him that the next 24 hours will be filled with burden and sorrow. To which he told me that I should not worry about it because God has said, Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?... "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things." - Matthew 6:27,31,32.

I have heard that verse several times but I was comforted through that verse on that day. A great peace filled my heart and I had never worried about the audit on that night. By God’s grace the very next day, the audit went on well without any problem.

In Luke chapter 8, we read about a woman who suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. No one can cure her. She carried the burden for twelve long years. No one could help her. One day she thought that she will place that burden in the feet of God. She ran and fell at the feet of Jesus Christ. She got healed on that day itself. No more sorrows and no more pain in her life. She was absolutely free from her pain.

Today a particular disease might be burdening you. Past guilt might be burdening you. You might have lost the peace because of the financial problems. Your studies seem so tough for you.

Today you might be having any kind of burden. Do not worry. Cast your worries and burden upon Jesus Christ. He knows what you need. He knows your pain, sorrow and suffering. He will never cast you away. He will heal you. He will heal the wound of your heart. He will strengthen you. You will not feel weak anymore. You will overcome trials and temptations. You will be victorious.

My dear young friends, Jesus Christ cares for you. He cares for you so much that He will take away all your burdens. God will set you free.
