FEAR NOT. THE LORD WILL DO GREAT THINGS

“Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.” – Joel 2:21

When Israelites were pursued by the Egyptians in the wilderness, they confronted red sea. As fear gripped the hearts of the children of Israel, the Lord parted the red sea in such a way that the Israelites walked in the dry land and the waters were a wall to them on both their sides. God did a great thing on that day to protect the children of Israel. (Exodus 14)

When Samson took revenge on Philistines and killed so many of them, they came against him. But God did a great thing in such a way that the Spirit of the Lord led Samson to kill one thousand of them by a fresh jawbone of a donkey. God did a great thing on that day to deliver Samson from the hands of his enemies. (Judges 15)

Even today you might be facing huge difficulties and troubles in your life. Do not get discouraged. Our Lord will do great thing in your life. Do you face humiliation in your family life or in your work place or among your relatives? Do not lose faith. You will see Jesus Christ doing great things in your life very soon. Your head will be held high.

Jesus Christ will surely do a miracle in your life. You are not going to live anymore with the sorrows and pain. Your life will be filled with God’s peace and you will rejoice.

There was a young couple who had a great desire to do something for God’s glory. They dedicated their life to God during their teen age. As they were about to get married, the young guy was diagnosed with a tumor in his body. Doctors performed surgery and removed the tumor from his body. Then they got happily married but soon within few years again a tumor was diagnosed in his body. Again doctors performed an operation and the tumor was removed. But his body could not respond well to the second surgery and so he developed some complications.
They put their trust in the Lord and were praying a lot for his recovery. But to their disappointment he got another tumor within few years. Soon after the third surgery he got fourth tumor and then at last he got his fifth tumor in his brain. The doctors in their city could not perform a surgery on him because they thought surely he will die.

The family members searched for a famous doctor and finally they found a very famous neurosurgeon. The neurosurgeon agreed to do the operation and he did operation for many hours to remove the tumor from the brain. Once he removed the tumor from his brain he felt that something went wrong but yet he continued the operation for another four hours. Once he came out he felt so bad because he thought that the husband will not survive. He went to the wife who is eagerly waiting for the result and told her that her husband has a very less chance to survive.

She felt broken as she heard that words from a world renowned God fearing surgeon. As she stood alone on that night she poured out her heart completely to God and fought with Him for the life of her husband. God saw her tears and told her, “He is mine and not yours.”

Once she realized that her husband was not hers and she had no right to have the desire to keep him with her for life long, she remembered the incident happened in Abraham’s life. As Abraham laid his only son on the altar as a sacrifice to God, she also laid her husband in the feet of God and slept peacefully on that night.

Within ten days from the day of the surgery, to everyone’s amazement, Jesus Christ completely healed him. No one could believe that but yet God did a great thing in that young couple’s life and they rejoiced for the miracle that God has done in their life.

My dear young friend, Jesus Christ will do great thing in your life too. Jesus Christ knows your need and He will give you what you need.

“For thus says the Lord: ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water...” – 2 Kings 3:17

You might not see any signs of miracle but yet you will receive God’s miracle in your life. Jesus Christ will fill your life with overflowing blessings. God bless you.
