“He shall call upon
Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him
and honor him.” – Psalms 91:15
You might be facing certain troubles
in your life. It might be a disease, sins, relationship issues, failures or any
financial problems. Today God is promising you that if you look unto Him, He
will be with you during the times of trouble. He will provide you comfort. Not
only that, He will also deliver and honor you.
When David killed Goliath, many
praised him for the brave thing he did. Few women said that Saul killed only
thousands but David ten thousands. When Saul heard what they said it displeased
him.
1 Samuel 18:9 says, “So
Saul eyed David from that day forward.” From that day onwards Saul tried to
kill David. In Psalms 18:6 David says, “In
my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried out to my God; He heard my voice
from His temple, and my cry came before Him, even to His ears.”
When David faced trouble in his life
through Saul, he cried to God. God heard his prayers and delivered him from the
hands of Saul. 1 Samuel 23:14 says, “...Saul
sought him every day, but God did not deliver him into his hands.”
Though Saul was against David, God
was with him to deliver him and He raised him as a king and honoured him. God
will do the same to you. People might come against you. Evil things might come
against you. Do not fear. As you look unto God, He will be with you. He will
deliver you from the hands of wicked ones and raise you.
Recently I heard an incident that
happened in the life of a particular person. There lived a young boy in a
particular city in India. He was born to God fearing parents. He was a rebellious
guy who does things according to his own desire. His parents could do nothing
as he didn’t obey them at all. As he had a good voice he got in relationship
with musicians and singers of the secular movie world. He had a pride in saying
that he knows many cine musicians and singers. His mother called him and
advised him to come out of those relationships but he continued to work for
them.
One day he got a problem in his
throat and soon he lost his sweet voice and he was bedridden. All those were
with him vanished and they left him alone. Doctors could do nothing as his
problem got severe. He was in death bed. But his parents ran to him and started
praying for him earnestly. As his health condition got worsened he wanted to
see all his close blood relations for a last time. Everyone came from different
places and he saw them with tears.
One particular night as he was
thinking about what all the wrong things he did, Jesus appeared by his bedside.
He told Jesus that his parents were praying for him a lot and asked him why He
has not healed him so far? Jesus said to him that He came only because of the
tears of his mother. As he felt bad about his life he immediately prayed to
Jesus asking His forgiveness and pleaded Him to heal him. Jesus forgave his
sins and healed him within few days. That young guy grew up and now he is
living in Bahrain with his wife and children.
The mother of that young guy prayed
to Jesus. Jesus heard her prayers and He came down to heal that young guy. When
he prayed, Jesus forgave all his sins and blessed him.
My dear young friends, do not get
discouraged about anything. You might be going through a toughest path. You
might be facing darkness in your life. Do not worry. Just pray to Jesus Christ.
He longs to hear from you. When you pray, Jesus Christ will answer your prayers
and He will come to you and will deliver you. God will honor you.
