YOU WILL NOT BE ASHAMED

“...For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.” – Isaiah 49:23

There was a young girl who had no one to help her. To meet her needs she borrowed Rs.30,000 from a unknown person. After few months when she could not able to return his money back, he begun to threaten her. Daily she used to hear abusive language from the person whom she borrowed money.

She lost all her hope. She felt frustrated about her life situation. One day she decided to commit suicide. At that moment, a family who lived nearby told her about a Christian meeting and asked her to participate in that. She told to herself that she will attend that meeting before she ends her life.

She went to that small gathering and as the final prayer was going on, God spoke to her through that servant of God revealing the condition of her life and promised her that He will take care of her.

She decided to put her hope on the Lord and patiently she waited for God to do a miracle in her life. God honoured her faith. One of her distant relative heard about her situation and they voluntarily came forward to help her. They paid her the money that she needed and through that God helped her to clear all her debts. Not only that, God also blessed that young girl with a wonderful future. Today she is living happily.

You might also be longing for a specific blessing in your life. You are in a desperate need. You want Jesus Christ to do something in your life immediately so that you can come out of the terrible situations that you are facing right now. Do not fear. God says to you, “For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.”

Acts 1:4,5 says, And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Jesus Christ promised the disciples that they will receive the Holy Spirit but He asked them to wait. Bible says that they waited and continued in one accord in prayer and supplication. As they were all with one accord in a particular place on the day of Pentecost, Jesus Christ filled them with the Holy Spirit and they all began to speak with other tongues.

As the disciples waited for God, they received the mighty outpouring of Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ fulfilled His promise in their life and blessed them abundantly. The disciples of Jesus Christ were never ashamed.

My dear young friends, even today you might be waiting for God to do a miracle in your life. Do not get discouraged. Jesus Christ will never forsake you. He will fulfill His promises in your life. Just wait for His time. In His time He will fulfill all His promises. You will not be ashamed. You will be blessed.
