GHG SHORT DEVOTIONALS - 38 (GOD WANTS TO REVEAL HIMSELF THROUGH YOU)

“…Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son…”- Isaiah 7:14

God has chosen Mary for a special purpose. She gave birth to Jesus Christ. Even today God has chosen you to reveal Himself through you.

How can you reveal Jesus Christ through your life?

a)      Yield yourself to God’s plan and purpose.

Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” - Luke 1:38

God has a plan regarding Mary’s life. Mary might have thought about the implications of it. But yet she surrendered herself completely into God’s hands. God fulfilled His plan and purpose through her life. Yield yourself to God’s will so that He will be revealed through you.

b)      Get filled by the Holy Spirit.

“…she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 1:18

Mary got pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Then only she gave birth to Jesus.

If you want to reveal Jesus Christ through your life and deeds, first, you have to get filled with the Holy Spirit. Without Holy Spirit you can never live a life for God’s glory.

c)       Do not be conformed to this world

“…(Joseph) did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son...” – Matthew 1:25

Mary never knew Joseph till she gave birth to Jesus. As you are having God within you and as you are growing in Him, you should not give way to worldly pleasures. That will hinder your spiritual growth. If you want to reveal Jesus Christ through your life, stay away from the worldly things and sins.

Even today God wants me to say to you that He had chosen you for a purpose and if you surrender your life to Him, you will see God’s glory moving out of your life and touching others through you.
