QUOTES ON TOP

“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

FEAR NOT, THE LORD WILL HELP YOU

For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ – Isaiah 41:13

Imagine yourself as a little girl standing at the edge of a busy, chaotic road. Vehicles are rushing past, and everything feels confusing and overwhelming. You want to cross, but you are afraid and unsure how to take the next step. Just then, your father comes and stands beside you. He gently takes your right hand and says, “Do not be afraid. I am here. I will help you cross.” As you feel his hand holding yours, your fear begins to disappear. You no longer feel alone or helpless. How comforting it is to have our father holding our hand in a difficult moment.

In the same way, our Heavenly Father reassures you that no matter what difficult situation you face, you need not be afraid, for He is holding your right hand and will help you through.

Even today, the Lord says to you, “Fear not for I am holding your right hand; From now on, it is Me standing with you as you face tough situations and you will not be left alone.”

In John 16:32, Jesus Christ says, Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

Jesus went through a time when His own disciples left Him and fled. As He endured suffering, no one stood beside Him except His Heavenly Father. Yet, as recorded in Book of Isaiah 50:6–9, He faced those sufferings with courage and without shame, because He knew the Father was with Him, at all times and through every path.

Jesus knows your pain of being left alone. Today He promises you that He will never run away from you. He will be with you and help you. You will not be ashamed.

The Lord will not leave you to handle your situations alone; He will undertake your situations and work on your behalf.

IS YOUR HEART TREMBLES AT THE WORD OF THE LORD?

For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist," Says the Lord. "But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word. - Isaiah 66:2

In Isaiah 66:1, the Lord speaks about His majesty and greatness, revealing how glorious He is. Then, in verse 2, we see something very very important: in all His greatness, He looks with favor upon a person who possesses certain important characteristics. One of those characteristics is a heart that trembles at His word.

Today, the Lord places a question before each of us: When was the last time your heart trembled at His word? Do you have a heart that is sensitive to the word of the Lord?

The Bible speaks about one such man in II Chronicles 34:31 and II Kings 23:25. His name was Josiah. He was a king, a man with authority over an entire nation. He was clothed in royal garments and surrounded by worldly splendor. Yet, the Bible records in II Kings 22:11 that when Josiah heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his clothes because his heart was shaken by God’s word.

Not only that, when the Lord spoke through a prophetess, He described how Josiah responded to His word. This is beautifully recorded in II Kings 22:19 and II Chronicles 34:27.

19 because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they would become a desolation and a curse, and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you,” says the Lord.

27 because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before God when you heard His words against this place and against its inhabitants, and you humbled yourself before Me, and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you,” says the Lord.

What was it about Josiah that caused the Lord to look upon him?

a) His heart was tender

b) He humbled himself before God

c) He tore his clothes

d) He wept before the Lord

What a heart that was truly sensitive to the word of the Lord!

The Lord looked upon Josiah because his heart trembled at God’s word. Because of this, the Lord promised him that his eyes would not see all the calamity that was going to come upon that place and its inhabitants.

Even today, the Lord looks for a heart that trembles at His word. Is your heart like that?

HOW FAR IS TOO FAR FOR THE LORD TO REACH?

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. - Psalms 139:7-8

Is there a place so low, so dark, so broken that God cannot reach you there?

Sometimes it feels like there is, particularly when we go through tough situations. At times we go to places we never imagined-places of regret, shame, loneliness, or failure. And in those moments, we feel within ourselves that we are in a situation where the Lord cannot reach out to us. We think in our heart that we have gone too far. But we must understand the truth that those thoughts are not from God.

The Bible tells us that even if someone makes their bed in the depths, even in hell itself, God is already there. There is no corner of darkness where His presence cannot reach. No matter how far you think you have fallen, you have not fallen beyond His reach.

You may feel like your mistakes have pushed God away. But Scripture tells us in Isaiah 59:1: Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.

Think about Jonah. He disobeyed and ran away. He ended up in the darkest place imaginable. And yet, when he cried out from there, God heard him.

And he said: “I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction, And He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, And You heard my voice.” – Jonah 2:2

At times, tribulation comes without a reason we can understand-without a fault of our own. Even then, God can still reach you and save you.

Consider the life of Joseph. The Lord promised him a beautiful future when he was safe in his father’s house, loved and protected. The next, he was betrayed by his own brothers, thrown into a pit, sold like a slave, falsely accused, and forgotten in prison. Step by step, it looked like his life was moving further and further away from God’s promise. But the truth is, God never left him. The pit didn’t stop God. The prison didn’t change God’s plan. And when the time was right, God lifted him from the lowest place to the palace.

No matter where you are right now, God can still reach you. No matter how far you think you have gone, you are not far beyond His mercy. No depth, no darkness, no failure is greater than Him. For God, nothing is impossible. And no matter how far you are, you are not out of God’s reach. He will surely transform your life.

THE LORD WILL SAVE YOU - GHG DEVOTIONS

 "…Hezekiah wept bitterly." —Isaiah 38: 3

You may be passing through the path of tears because of the circumstances you face today.

King Hezekiah went through a difficult situation. He became ill and was on the verge of death. When the word of the Lord came out that he would not live, he wept bitterly.

What happened when Hezekiah cried so much?

The experience of Hezekiah is recorded in Isaiah 38:20(ERV).

"So I say, “The Lord saved me."

Hezekiah's tears moved God's heart. So, the Lord saved him from the darkness of death.

Aren’t you seen with so many tears because of the problems that surrounds your life these days? The Holy Spirit promises to you that God will surely come to save you from all the difficult circumstances that you are going through.

What did Hezekiah do?

When the word of God was revealed through the prophet Isaiah, he wept and prayed unto the LORD, and not to Isaiah, nor to any other man.

The Holy Spirit promises you today that you will surely be saved if you trust in God and look to Him. The Lord will surely comfort you.

THE LORD WILL MAKE IT POSSIBLE - GHG DEVOTIONS

She (Sarah) also said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children?...” – Genesis 21:7

Your life might be void of blessings. Others around you might look down at you. You might have lost hope about your future.

Sarah, Abraham and others around them thought that Sarah had no chance of having a child.

The word of Abraham is written in Genesis 17:17.

Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”

The words of Sarah are recorded in Genesis 18:13.

And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’

Don't you also look at the present state of your life and think that everything is over and there is no way forward? You do not need to worry. Do you know why?

Who will tell Abraham that Sarah will give milk to her children? No man can tell that to Abraham. But to the Lord all things are possible.

The promise of the Lord is recorded in Genesis 18:10.

And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.”

According to His promise, the Lord has blessed Abraham and Sarah with a son. She also had nursed the child.

Your future will be filled with God’s blessings and you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters fail not. The Lord will make it possible what you and others thought was impossible. The Holy Spirit promises you today that it will be a wonder to your eyes and those around you.

IT'S NOT THE OVER SAYS THE LORD TO YOU - GHG DEVOTIONS

While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.” – Luke 8:49

A man named Jairus fell at Jesus’ feet and pleaded with Him to come to his house because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying. On the way someone from his house came and conveyed a sad news that his daughter was dead. That particular person didn’t stop there but he said not to trouble Jesus Christ anymore.

“Why are you limiting God’s power and setting boundaries for the Lord to operate?”, asks the Holy Spirit to you today.

What makes you to come to the conclusion that it’s all over in your life? It’s not over says the Lord to you. This is not the end. I will not leave you until I fulfil what I promised to you says the Lord.

When Jairus pleaded to the Lord, He agreed and went with him to heal his daughter. The situation changed and so was the faith of few people who were around Jairus. But the Lord fulfilled what He had promised Jairus.

1.     What the Lord has purposed will surely happen in your life and it will be for your good.

The LORD of hosts has sworn, saying, “Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, And as I have purposed, so it shall stand” – Isaiah 14:24

2.     The Lord is not going to operate in the same way that you want Him to operate or you expect Him to operate.

“…His understanding no one can fathom” – Isaiah 40:28

As the situations changes and gets tougher, do not afraid but remember that the Lord is going to do something great in your life. You will see God’s glory.

I HAVE SET YOU APART SAYS THE LORD - GHG DEVOTIONS

“…I have set you apart from all other people to be Mine.” – Leviticus 20:26

The Lord who has distinguished you apart from all other people tells you that, He has chosen you and He has a purpose for your life.

What could be the reason that the Lord has set you apart?

Yes, He has chosen you particularly so that you will be His own. You absolutely belong to Him. You are the people of the most powerful God. He has great zeal upon you. How blessed and gifted it is to be the sons and daughters of the true living God!

What is it that the Lord expects from His people?

1.       To Be Holy:

“You shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy…” – Leviticus 20:26

What should you do to be holy?

“You must not follow the customs of the nations I cast out before you…” – Leviticus 20:23

You are not called to follow the people of this world and to act likely in their ways. The Lord has set you apart for you to be holy, says the Holy Spirit.

The Lord has chosen Samson to be a Nazirite. He was called for a special purpose. But when he began to follow the sinful ways of this world, he lost the precious relationship that he had with God. He was once called to be a blessed man but then he turned upside down to became a weak man and an object of entertainment to others. So, dedicate yourself to obey the voice of the Lord. Do not conform yourself any longer to the pattern of this world and it's pleasures.

2.       Sing praises to the Lord:

“They are the people I made for Myself, and they will sing My praises!” – Isaiah 43:21

In Luke chapter 17, we could look into an incident. Ten lepers came to Jesus and shouted to Him to help them with his grace. Jesus saw them and said, “Go and let the priests examine you.” On the way they were made clean. And one among them, when he saw that he was healed, returned to the Lord, and with a loud voice he glorified God.

Are you like those nine people who received His grace and blessings but went on their own way without feeling any gratefulness towards the Lord. Or are you like that one man who came back and glorified God with a mighty voice for the goodness he had received from the Lord? Examine yourself!

The Lord has especially chosen you to sing His praises. Do not murmur. Think about all the goodness that the Lord has bestowed upon you in your life and praise Him, says Holy Spirit to you.

GHG PROMISE WORD (ENGLISH) - 7 | IF YOU WOULD BELIEVE YOU WOULD SEE THE GLORY OF GOD

Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” – John 11:40

To you who is weeping and burdened, today Holy Spirit says to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God.

1. Jesus will surely come

“…let us go to him.” -John 11:15

Is this the end? Did Jesus abandon me? You think so, don't you? Even Martha and Mary thought that their brother would not have died if Jesus had been there. Yet Jesus came over and turned their tears into joy. The same Jesus will surely come into your life to do miracles and turn your sorrows into joy. You will not be ashamed because the Lord has not forgotten you says Holy Spirit to you.

But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me.” “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.” – Isaiah 49:14,15

2. Your wait is going to get over

“…the days of your mourning shall be ended.” - Isaiah 60:20

You have been waiting for so many days for a miracle. On this day Jesus Christ will bring out the blessings of your life that are trapped in a situation filled with obstacles and fill you with His goodness.

3. You will regain the blessing that you had lost

“Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out...”- John 11: 43,44

Martha and Mary had lost their brother. The Lord gave them back the blessing they had lost. The Holy Spirit says that God will give you back the peace and happiness that you had lost and will remove the emptiness and pain that are in your heart right now.

4. The glory of the Lord will manifest

“This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”- John 11: 4

“Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him." John 11:45

The Holy Spirit promises you today, “The circumstances of your life are not going to destroy you. The glory of God is going to be manifested in your life. You will see it. The Lord will be glorified through your life. The glorious thing that God is going to do in your life will turn many to God.”
