QUOTES ON TOP

“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

GHG SHORT DEVOTIONALS - 31 (GOD IS CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR SUFFERING)

“And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.” – Exodus 3:7

Israelites were oppressed in the Land of Egypt. They groaned because of the bondage they were in and Bible says that their cry came up to God. Even today you might be groaning and crying because of the bondage you are in. You might be oppressed and depressed. Do not get discouraged. God will surely answer your tears.

In this verse, God’s concern towards His people is revealed in three ways.

1.     I have seen…
God saw that Leah was despised and unloved and blessed her with child. Through her came Judah and Jesus Christ came into this world in that generation. (Genesis 29:31)

Today you might be despised and unloved. God sees your condition and situation. He will lift you high.

2.     I have heard…
God heard the prayers of Hezekiah and saw his tears and healed him. (2 Kings 20:4)

“This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.” – Psalm 34:6

Today you might be troubled and lost all your peace. God has heard your cries and He will save you out of all your troubles.

3.     I know…
Your Heavenly Father knows what you need before you ask Him (Matthew 6:8)

God knows your sorrows and the situation that you are in. He will provide you what `you need. He will change your situations.

After God saw, heard and knew the situation of Israelites, In Exodus 3:8, God says that He came down to deliver them. Even today God is taking control of your life to deliver you out of all your troubles. God’s gracious hand will take you to the place in which you will have blessings in abundance. You will see greater things says God to you.

GHG SHORT DEVOTIONALS - 30 (GOD IS CALLING YOU TO RECEIVE THE BLESSINGS THAT HE HAS FOR YOU)

“Jesus said to them, Come and eat breakfast…” – John 21:12

"இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: வாà®°ுà®™்கள், போஜனம்பண்ணுà®™்கள் என்à®±ாà®°்..."

After the resurrection of Jesus, on a particular day, Peter decided to go for fishing. Other disciples of Jesus also joined him. They toiled throughout the night but they could not get any fish. Jesus appeared to them and told them to cast their nets on the right side of the boat. Then they had caught multitude of fish. As they reached the land, Jesus asked them to come and eat the breakfast which He had made for them.

1. When did Jesus asked them? Jesus told this once He had made everything ready for them.

At the Cross He had earned everything for you. Whatever you need, Jesus has it and He is ready to give it to you. Even today God calls you to come to Him and receive the blessings that He has in store for you.

2. To whom did Jesus told this?

a)     To those who had caught nothing. (John 21:3)

b)    To those who had nothing to eat. (John 21:5)

You might have desperately toiled for something day and night. But it seems to be out of your reach. You have not received what you are longing for. You are tired and heartbroken because you have nothing. It seems like you have lost everything and you have no strength left in you.
Do not get discouraged. God will do the battle for you. You shall not be hungry anymore for you will be satisfied with God's goodness.

3. If you hear God's voice and obey His words, you will have blessings in abundance in the same place where you had caught nothing says Holy Spirit to you.

GOD WILL SATISFY YOU WITH HIS GOODNESS

“…And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the Lord.” – Jeremiah 31:14

Years back one of my colleague’s dad met with an accident. He was riding his bike on a day when a steel sheet of a bus top from a bus that had crossed him flew and hit him on his neck. He fell down and was rushed to hospital. On the way in the ambulance he was vomiting blood and there was no hope that he would live.

Doctors diagnosed that he had blood clots in several parts of his head and they decided to do an operation by opening his skull. His family decided to arrange money for the operation and took measures for it.

My colleague thought of getting prayed and so she went to someone to get prayed. As she was going, she prayed to God to speak to her. As the person begun to pray, God spoke to her and said to her that her father will get well within 36 hours and all the blood clots will vanish.
She believed what God said and told all her family members not to arrange money for the operation as her father will be alright. Her family members also believed God’s word. They prayed fervently. As God promised, the doctors shifted her father to general ward from ICU within 36 hours as her father’s health got improved. Within few days God also healed him completely without any blood clots.

Today you might be going through a situation that gives you so much pain and you might be shedding tears because that. Today God says to you that He will be your hope in the hopeless situation. You will be satisfied by My goodness says God to you.

People might come against you. Diseases might threaten you. Failures and struggles might have given you so much pain. You are in a hopeless situation. Do not get discouraged. Everything will change. God will do that for you. As God healed her father and did a miracle in their life, he will do the same in your life.

My dear young friends, you will be satisfied with God’s goodness and you will not perish. God will answer your tears.

Hannah was barren. Her life was miserable and filled with tears. One day she went to God’s presence and prayed pouring her heart out. God heard her prayers, remembered her and blessed her.

God has not forgotten you. He has heard your prayers and He will bless you richly. He will not forsake you. Your life situation will change.

“There is hope in your future, says the Lord…” - Jeremiah 31:17
