QUOTES ON TOP

“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

GOD'S PERFECT GIFT - 13 (AISHWARYA AND SHASTI - GOD GIVEN SISTERS WHO PRAYED A LOT FOR MY WELL BEING)

“He heals the broken hearted, And binds up their wounds.” – Psalms 147:3

Years back I was teaching a particular course to a group of students. When I first went to their class I met the girl’s representative who was very calm and shy. The way she conducted herself was so good. I admired her character at that time but I never knew that later, God will bring her into my life as a sister.

One day I got a call that her father has died in a car accident. My heart was shattered and I spoke with her through phone after few days of her father’s death. Before talking to her I myself prepared what I should speak and how I should comfort her.  But when I called her through phone, I could see the faith that she had kept on God. She spoke in a composed way without crying. During that troublesome moment, as a family, they had kept their trust on God. Few months after, I became close to her family and she became my God given sister.

For the past 9 years I had never seen her backsliding from the trust and faith she had kept upon God. I have seen people seeking pity for even small things but not even once she spoke or cried to me seeking pity or attention. Even if she needed any help she had never asked me openly. Her Friend, Father and Everything is Jesus Christ. Always she looked to His face alone for everything and I can say that today she is blessed with good husband, a PG Engineering degree and a loving family because of the trust she had upon God.

I can’t say that God blessed her through me but I can very well say that I was blessed through her. On some occasions I went through troubles and problems in which I lost all my strength but during those occasions as a sister she had prayed for me a lot and brought God’s word which strengthened and motivated me.

After few months of her father’s death, she made me to speak with her younger sister who was doing her schooling. Whenever I used to speak to her younger sister to encourage her she listens to me patiently though at times she never like that at all. Her younger sister hates advices. During those days all that little girl carried was questions to God. She wanted to know why God took her father. Though her elder sister and her mother had several questions they never speak about that openly but yet she boldly put forward those questions to God.

The loss of her father made her to score less marks in her studies as she could not concentrate at all. There were times that little girl hides the answer sheet for days without showing it to anyone. At those times I wonder how she will manage to get through her studies.

But today she had completed her engineering degree in a reputed institution with more than 80% of marks in all the semesters and also God has given her a job in a Multi National Company.

When their father died, God promised them that He will be their father and will do things in their life more than 1000 times their worldly father can do. I could say that God is fulfilling His promises in both of their life in a beautiful way.

As I write this I remember those days when they cry, cry and cry for everything as they had no one to take care of them. Though they cried they had never moved away from God. Today both of their lives were filled with happiness and joy. God has filled their mother’s heart with thanksgiving as both of her daughter’s life was blessed by God richly.

When God brought them into my life, I thought I will do something for them. But all these days they prayed for me more than I prayed for them. They loved me more than I loved them. They valued my relationship more than I valued theirs. Though at times I got angry and took so much of authority over them, they patiently obeyed me and gave so much respect. God has brought so much of comfort and blessings into my life through them.

I am really happy to see the wonderful husband God gave to the elder girl. He actually became an elder son to that family and taking care of them beautifully. I am so thankful to God for him.

I thank God wholeheartedly for the way He led us together these many years and I knew that God will continue to do great things in their life in the coming years.

The younger sister has celebrated her birthday recently and the elder one is going to celebrate her birthday in few days. As they are going to enter a new year all that God wanted me to tell them is “I the Lord will change not...” – Malachi 3:6

My dear sisters, God says to you both, “As I had led you these many days, I will lead you in the coming years too. People around you might change. Their love might change. Their promises might change but My love upon you and the promises that I gave you will never change. I will hold you with My hands. I have promised you Canaan and I will take you to Canaan with My mighty hands. You are going to see much more of My blessings and you will see My Hands constantly working in your life. I will pour out My blessings upon you and wherever I place you, you will be a witness to My Glory. You will not perish but those who are against you shall perish. I will be your God and I do wonders in your life.”

My dear young friends, today if you are broken, do not get discouraged. God will heal you and do wonders in your life as He did in these young girls life.

GOD'S PERFECT GIFT - 12 (XCD 125 - FIRST BIKE I GOT THROUGH THE SALARY GOD GAVE ME)

“The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him." - Nahum 1:7

Though my dad’s salary was not that big and sufficient, he always tried his best to satisfy our needs. When I and my brothers were in our teen age, we had two cycles in our house. One is for my eldest brother and the other one is for my elder brother. When I grew up they permitted me to use those cycles when it is not in use. I always had a desire to get a motorbike.

Once I had finished my PG degree God gave me a good job. On those days I was staying in a hostel and was depending upon other people for taking me to my workplace and for any purchases in the city.

I prayed to God for a bike and nearly 7 years ago God helped me to purchase a 125cc bike.

I could never forget that day when I went to book a bike with the salary that God gave me. Once I paid the money the sales representative asked me to choose a bike from their storage place. As I had chosen a particular bike, God spoke to me through Holy Spirit asking me to kneel down and pray. I just obeyed and knelt down and prayed immediately. The day when I got the bike was a happiest day because that was the first time I got something for myself with my salary.

FIRST BIKE GOD GAVE ME

On the first day after I got the bike, I called a girl who was a great prayer support to me at that time and asked her to pray for God’s protection upon my bike. She prayed and sent an sms to me which I could never forget my life. After much prayer she sent an sms stating how God’s presence will rest upon each parts of the bike and how it will be a blessing to me. The way she brought God’s word on that day was really awesome and it encouraged me a lot. I wish I should have had that sms safe but I lost it and also years back I had lost the contact of that girl. But I sincerely thank God for that girl and her prayers.

As God promised a lot of things through her on that day, He fulfilled it and protected me from all kinds of evil. I had travelled a lot in that bike and only once someone came fast and dashed onto my bike with force but even on that day I had not fallen and there was not even a single crack in the bike though the other person fell down and got hurt badly.

Later after my marriage God gave me a car but yet that bike remained so close to my heart. Few months back for some reasons I sold the bike to someone whom I knew and at this time I want to thank God for the way he protected me whenever I had travelled in that bike. There were times I rode in a stupid way purposefully but even in that time God protected me graciously.

My dear young friends, God know everything that concerns you. He will give you what you need and He will lead you. He will never forsake you. I am an ordinary guy but yet He know what I need and blessed me with a bike. He protected me and not even once He had forsaken me. He will do that in your life too. You will be blessed.

I sincerely thank God for that bike and so many pleasant moments he gave me through that bike. Many times I felt God’s love through that bike and God knows why. I thank God for His perfect gift.

GOD'S PERFECT GIFT - 11 (MY LITTLE DAUGHTER THROUGH WHOM GOD MADE ME TO HAVE A DESIRE TO LIVE)

“The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works." - Psalm 145:9

Today as I was getting ready to go to my workplace my little daughter was playing in the hall. She was nearly 15 months old and I went near to her and asked for a kiss. She didn’t give one and went away as if she didn’t hear my request. Few minutes passed and she was on her own world playing.

Finally as I was about to leave, I took my bag and called my daughter and told her bye. She looked at me from the place where she was standing and then she came near to me calling daddy. As I knelt near to her she just came forward and gave me a kiss and then moved away to play. I had never expected that and her love touched my heart so deeply that I could not take my mind out of it. To be frank, I felt like crying at that moment when she remembered what I asked for and did that in a wonderful way.

She is a perfect blessing in my life given by God to me through which I am loving my life and having a desire to live.

From my young days I faced few problems which affected my mind mentally. I always had a great fear, depression and anxiety in my mind. I struggled physically, spiritually and mentally. During those days I lost the desire to live in this world. There was a particular church in the town where I live and I used to go to that church several days to pray asking God to take my life.

Though God gave me good parents, brothers and friends, I could not take my mind out of that depression. God knows what I was going through and He told me that I have to marry according to His will so that His peace will overflow in my life. He gave me His grace to find a wife according to His will and He blessed my marriage life.

When my wife got pregnant, God gave so many promises. Every one of my loved ones who were around me heard those promises and thought that I will get a baby boy. Everyone believed that strongly. They were the ones who were praying for me day and night. They were not against a baby girl but yet they believed in such a way.

But God knew what my greatest desire in this world was. He knew that I longed for a baby girl. He granted my wish and I got my daughter. That day no one knew how happy I was. Jesus Christ filled me with joy and laughter. From that day on whenever I see her, I had fallen in love with her so deeply and madly.

There were times I face tough situations and when I reach home and see her face, God’s peace fills my heart through her smile and behaviour. I know God’s purpose in my life that I have to do great things for Him. And she is a perfect gift from God which He gave to make me strong in this world. Whenever she repeatedly calls me daddy I get a strong desire to live in this world. Indeed she is God’s perfect gift and I thank God for giving her in my life trusting that I will take good care of her.

Bible says that God is good to all and His tender mercies are all over His works. I know my daughter is the work of God’s hands and through her I understood the greatness of God’s tender mercies. Once I had thought that I will never have happiness in my life but today God has blessed me in all aspects. He will do that to you.

My dear young friends, I was not at all worthy to live in this world for I did so many things against God but yet He made me to live in this world. He will do much more greater things in your life. Jesus Christ will do good to you. His mercies will be upon you and He will never forsake you. He has greater things in store for you. Do not hate your life for anything. He will do good and will fill you with joy and laughter.

GOD'S PERFECT GIFT - 10 (MRS. PRAGASI - MY LOVING GRANDMOTHER WHOSE ADVICES AND PRAYERS I TREASURE)

“Wisdom is with aged men, And with length of days, understanding.” – Job 12:12

My Grandmother
When I was too young my mother accepted Christ as her savior and she stopped watching movies and secular serials. Me and my two elder brothers could not understand her decision and we always longed to watch television serials. My mother was so strict that she will never allow us to go out to play without studying our subjects.

Even on Sundays she wanted us to learn and tell her what we studied. We have to answer her questions that she asks from our subjects. At that time my father was working in a different city so he also won’t interfere in her decision. But there was one person who scolds my mom for not allowing us out even on Sundays. She is our grandmother.

My mother has a great respect upon her mother so she will listen to what our grandmother says. On Sunday evenings we used to run from our home to our grandmother home to watch a movie. My mother will never disturb us at that time and our grandmother would give so many things to eat.

Every day she will give all her grandsons fifty paise so that we can get whatever we want to eat. Later as days passed by she raised the money to one rupee. On those days it was a big money. Though my grandfather owns a small tea shop and the income was small, my grandmother never failed to give us that money.

After few years our family got shifted to the place where my father worked and so we missed our grandmother badly. Once in a year we would go to my grandmother’s house and we look forward to that day throughout the year.

Later my grandfather died and soon my grandmother also got some physical problem. At that time we were grown up as adults but yet we loved our grandmother a lot. We thought our grandmother will die but graciously God healed her.

After few years my mother decided to bring our grandmother to our home so that she can stay with us forever. When we heard that decision we were so happy. When my mom got cancer, our grandmother was a great support. She stayed with my mother in the place where she got treatment and used to take care of her in every way. We were so happy when my grandmother accepted Christ as her saviour and took baptism.

Before I got married my grandmother stayed with me along with my mother for one year and even after I got married she was with me for few months. I love the way she cook fish and mutton. There were times her positive words inspired me to face certain situations boldly.

Even today she stays with me and taking care of our God given little daughter. I admire the way she enjoys life even at this age. She is 75 years of age and still she loves to eat all things and want to travel to many places. Recently my wife joined her job after a long maternity leave and I wondered how our little daughter will cope up without her mother.

But again my grandmother said to me that she will take care of her along with my mother in law and father in law. Her advices and words of encouragement are helping me a lot even today. Moreover her prayer provides great support to our family.

I want her to stay with me till the end of her life but there was a lot of competition for that. My eldest brother wants our grandmother to stay with him and so do my elder brother. Even my eldest brother’s son is asking my mother daily that when our grandmother will come to their home. Everyone in our family wants her in their side so that they could get her advice. Even my two sister in laws loves my grandmother.

My mother always says that our grandmother is so gifted that’s why everyone loves her a lot but I say that we are so gifted to have her with us and I thank Jesus Christ for my grandmother who is really a God’s perfect gift. May she live longer with good health. Love you grandma. May God protect you always.
