QUOTES ON TOP
“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

YOU WILL NOT FEAR FOR ANYTHING
"You shall not be
afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A
thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you." - Psalms 91:5-7.
For the past few days, I was not well physically. To
everyone around me, I seem to be in a perfect health condition. But I was in a
great struggle. Sometimes I felt like whether I will see another day. In these
days my only prayer to God was, “God, let me live.”
I wanted to do something for God and also I have a desire
to live for my wife and child. So my desire is to live. The situation around me
was quite different. I know I was facing trials and I kept my hope in God
alone.
Even this morning as I was thinking about my health
condition, I received a sms with the above verse. Though I read this verse so
many times, God comforted me today through this sms.
God has given so many promises in Bible in which He says, “Fear
not” or “Do not fear.” Holy Spirit taught me today that in this verse God has
not asked us not to fear but He says, “You shall not be afraid.”
My dear young friends, today the situations around you
might be troubling you a lot. Many negative thoughts might arise in your mind. You
feel restless in your mind and heart. Get encouraged.
You might be in a great fear today. Today Jesus Christ says
to you, “You will not be afraid.” He doesn’t say like, “Fear not.” He says to
you today that you will not fear.
Situation might be different. But God assure you today that
you will not fear because He will be your refuge and fortress. He will not let
anything harm you. He will protect you and He will give you His peace in such a
way that you will never fear. He will not let you fear at all.
You are under the shadow of almighty God. Your life is in
His arms. All that you own belongs to Him and is in His control. Today God says
that you will live and no terror will harm you. You will not fear for anything.
Jesus Christ will guard your life and all that belongs to you. You are His
child and He will take care of you. You will live in peace.

YOU WILL NOT BE ASHAMED
“...For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.” –
Isaiah 49:23
There was a young girl
who had no one to help her. To meet her needs she borrowed Rs.30,000 from a
unknown person. After few months when she could not able to return his money
back, he begun to threaten her. Daily she used to hear abusive language from
the person whom she borrowed money.
She lost all her hope.
She felt frustrated about her life situation. One day she decided to commit
suicide. At that moment, a family who lived nearby told her about a Christian
meeting and asked her to participate in that. She told to herself that she will
attend that meeting before she ends her life.
She went to that small
gathering and as the final prayer was going on, God spoke to her through that
servant of God revealing the condition of her life and promised her that He
will take care of her.
She decided to put her
hope on the Lord and patiently she waited for God to do a miracle in her life.
God honoured her faith. One of her distant relative heard about her situation
and they voluntarily came forward to help her. They paid her the money that she
needed and through that God helped her to clear all her debts. Not only that,
God also blessed that young girl with a wonderful future. Today she is living
happily.
You might also be
longing for a specific blessing in your life. You are in a desperate need. You
want Jesus Christ to do something in your life immediately so that you can come
out of the terrible situations that you are facing right now. Do not fear. God
says to you, “For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.”
Acts 1:4,5 says, And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart
from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from
Me; for John
truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not
many days from now.”
Jesus Christ promised
the disciples that they will receive the Holy Spirit but He asked them to wait.
Bible says that they waited and continued in one accord in prayer and
supplication. As they were all with one accord in a particular place on the day
of Pentecost, Jesus Christ filled them with the Holy Spirit and they all began
to speak with other tongues.
As the disciples
waited for God, they received the mighty outpouring of Holy Spirit. Jesus
Christ fulfilled His promise in their life and blessed them abundantly. The
disciples of Jesus Christ were never ashamed.
My dear young friends,
even today you might be waiting for God to do a miracle in your life. Do not
get discouraged. Jesus Christ will never forsake you. He will fulfill His
promises in your life. Just wait for His time. In His time He will fulfill all
His promises. You will not be ashamed. You will be blessed.

LOOKING BACK (WITH THANKS) - 7 (GOD WILL PROTECT YOU IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES)
“Unless
the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.” – Psalm 127:1
Few months back my
father got severe fever and cold. At that time my mom was with me taking care
of my daughter and my father was in another city with my elder brother. Both my
brother and sister in law were working and they leave home at 9 and return back
around 5 in the evening.
As my father could not
able to go to work on that day because of his health, he stayed back in home.
Around 1:30 in the afternoon he called my mother and said that he is going to
have some hot water.
My father switched the
gas cylinder to the ON position and he ignited the stove. As he was about to
complete his work, my mom told him to keep the gas to the minimum position and
then take the vessel from the stove.
My father did the same
and then he went to take rest in another room. The actual thing that happened
was he kept the gas position to minimum but he forgot to switch off the stove.
He slept for few hours
and because of his old age he never remembered to put off the flame. My elder
brother returned home around 5 in the evening and as he went to the kitchen to
fetch some water he found that the flame was glowing in the minimum position.
He then immediately switched off the gas.
When we heard about
that incident our heart filled with a great fear as we imagined what would have
happened if that flame went off automatically. There is a greater chance of
that since the gas knob was in a minimum position. If it might have happened
the gas would have spread through the entire house and my dad would have surely
failed to sense the smell as he was having severe cold.
And we know that my
elder brother has the habit of switching ON the light immediately when he
enters the house. If these things happened we know it would have caused greater
damage to the lives of my dad and my elder brother’s family.
On the other side our
heart was filled with a great thanksgiving as God protected our family on that
day. He didn’t let the flame to go off for more than 3 hours. His hands
protected us on that day.
As I look back, I
thank Jesus Christ for protecting the lives of my dad, my elder brother and my
sister in law. We are alive only because of the grace and protection of Jesus
Christ.
My dear young friends,
surrender your family members into the precious hands of Jesus Christ. He will
protect everyone of your family member. You will not perish.
