DELIVER YOURSELF AND GOD WILL BLESS YOU RICHLY

“Deliver thyself, O Zion, ye that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. For thus saith the Lord of hosts: After the glory hath He sent me unto the nations which despoiled you, for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of His eye.” – Zechariah 2:7-8

Abraham was staying with his family people and one day the Lord said to him to leave his country, his family and his father’s house to the land which God has planned for him. Then God said to him that He will bless him and make his name great. Genesis 12:4 beautifully says, “So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him...”

Abraham obeyed to God’s word in faith and he left his relatives and went to the place where God asked him to go. As God promised Abraham, He made him great. If we read the further chapters of Bible, at certain moments we can see that the Lord addressed himself as Lord of Abraham. The Lord was pleased with Abraham because he obeyed God.

There were times in our life when we fail to receive any blessings at all, we get depressed. We blame God at times and say He is not hearing our prayers and tears. But we fail to analyze whether we are in the right place where God wants us to be. We might be living in a place from where God wants us to move and we might be living in sin which God hates.

Today God wants us to do a self check in His presence. We have to understand and know for sure whether we are exactly in the place where God wants us to be. If you have to receive God’s blessing you have to be in God’s will.

I came across a person who once worked in a MNC company. He was a well experienced person and He always wanted to do God’s will in his life. One fine day he got a call from his friend asking him to join as a CEO of another MNC company and at the same time he got an offer to join as a chief engineer in another organisation. He knew that being a CEO of an MNC company will make his life settled and he can earn more than the other offer he got. So he decided to join as CEO. But the day before his joining date, God interfered and ask him to leave that offer.

He obeyed and joined as chief engineer with a less salary compared to what he might have got being a CEO. But yet today he was blessed in his professional life and also he is doing God’s ministry as he could able to find free time in this job. He obeyed God and so God blessed him and He is blessing other people through him.

My dear young friends, come out of the place which God asks you to come out. Leave the sins which God asks you to leave. Obey God in everything. Deliver yourself from all things that God dislikes. He will make your name great and you will be blessed by God in a glorious way.

GOD'S PERFECT GIFT - 12 (XCD 125 - FIRST BIKE I GOT THROUGH THE SALARY GOD GAVE ME)

“The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him." - Nahum 1:7

Though my dad’s salary was not that big and sufficient, he always tried his best to satisfy our needs. When I and my brothers were in our teen age, we had two cycles in our house. One is for my eldest brother and the other one is for my elder brother. When I grew up they permitted me to use those cycles when it is not in use. I always had a desire to get a motorbike.

Once I had finished my PG degree God gave me a good job. On those days I was staying in a hostel and was depending upon other people for taking me to my workplace and for any purchases in the city. 

I prayed to God for a bike and nearly 7 years ago God helped me to purchase a 125cc bike. 

I could never forget that day when I went to book a bike with the salary that God gave me. Once I paid the money the sales representative asked me to choose a bike from their storage place. As I had chosen a particular bike, God spoke to me through Holy Spirit asking me to kneel down and pray. I just obeyed and knelt down and prayed immediately. The day when I got the bike was a happiest day because that was the first time I got something for myself with my salary. 

FIRST BIKE GOD GAVE ME

 

On the first day after I got the bike, I called a girl who was a great prayer support to me at that time and asked her to pray for God’s protection upon my bike. She prayed and sent an sms to me which I could never forget my life. After much prayer she sent an sms stating how God’s presence will rest upon each parts of the bike and how it will be a blessing to me. The way she brought God’s word on that day was really awesome and it encouraged me a lot. I wish I should have had that sms safe but I lost it and also years back I had lost the contact of that girl. But I sincerely thank God for that girl and her prayers.

As God promised a lot of things through her on that day, He fulfilled it and protected me from all kinds of evil. I had travelled a lot in that bike and only once someone came fast and dashed onto my bike with force but even on that day I had not fallen and there was not even a single crack in the bike though the other person fell down and got hurt badly.

Later after my marriage God gave me a car but yet that bike remained so close to my heart. Few months back for some reasons I sold the bike to someone whom I knew and at this time I want to thank God for the way he protected me whenever I had travelled in that bike. There were times I rode in a stupid way purposefully but even in that time God protected me graciously. 

My dear young friends, God know everything that concerns you. He will give you what you need and He will lead you. He will never forsake you. I am an ordinary guy but yet He know what I need and blessed me with a bike. He protected me and not even once He had forsaken me. He will do that in your life too. You will be blessed. 

I sincerely thank God for that bike and so many pleasant moments he gave me through that bike. Many times I felt God’s love through that bike and God knows why. I thank God for His perfect gift.

JOY FILLED PARENTING - 7 (DO NOT GET IRRITATED UPON YOUR CHILD)

“Because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." - James 1:20

Few days back on a particular day I returned home so tired after my work hours. I desperately wanted to sleep. My little daughter always plays for sometime in the bedroom before she sleeps. Everyday my wife sits patiently and tries her best to make her sleep. 

On that day since I was so tired I went to the bed and slept immediately. On my side my daughter was playing and as my wife was also tired she was forcing our daughter to come to her. But my daughter got annoyed and was crying. One side my wife was speaking loudly and other side my daughter was shouting. It disturbed me a lot but yet I could not open my eyes at all. 

This continued for some time and at one point of time I woke up. On that moment I didn’t get any anger but was greatly irritated by the behaviour of my daughter. I was not angry but was irritated and so I stood up with so much of irritation upon my daughter in my heart and said something to myself. 

From the day God has blessed me with my daughter I had never got such irritation but for the first time I got irritated. As I stood up from my bed and took one step, God spoke to me through Holy Spirit in a gentle tough voice. He said, “How you could feel irritated upon the blessing that I gave you through my grace?”

On that day I had not shown my irritation by means of words or action to my little daughter. I felt irritated. That’s it. I stood up and walked with irritation but Holy Spirit told me to ask God’s forgiveness because I had got irritated upon my daughter who is a greatest blessing given by God to me. Holy Spirit continued to speak saying you had got irritated upon God’s blessing which was actually longed by so many people on this world but yet some could not get that blessing. I felt so bad about my behaviour and asked God to forgive me.

My dear young friends, many out there around you is longing for a child. Some are longing for years but yet they could not get one. But God has graciously given you a child and today God wants me to tell you that you should not get irritated upon your child. Your child is a greatest blessing given by God to you and you should not get angry upon His blessing. 

Sometimes your child will disturb your sleep or work or routine. Sometimes your child will take his/her own time to learn and understand things. Sometimes your child will not behave as you expect. You have the right to correct your child if he/she goes in a wrong way but you should not show your anger or irritation upon your child unnecessarily. 

On that night my daughter took some time to sleep. Being a father can I ask her to sleep immediately when she didn’t get sleep? I can’t expect her and force her in that way but yet I got irritated because I felt she was disturbing my sleep. But God strictly told me that I was wrong. 

My dear young friends, raise your child in God’s way and in the way God expect you to raise them. Do not feel irritated at any time because the blessing you have in your hand was given by God to you. Be grateful to God for His blessing and do His will. God will pour out His grace upon you and lead you.

“Do not trust in a friend; Do not put your confidence in a companion; Guard the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your bosom. For son dishonors father, Daughter rises against her mother, Daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; A man's enemies are the men of his own household. Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me." - Micah 7:5-7 

In Genesis chapter 2 and 3, we read that God formed Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden. He commanded them not to eat the fruits of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It was told to Adam and he might have told to Eve. The conversation and the whole matter should be kept within the family that is between God, Adam and Eve.

But one day Eve took that matter and discussed with the serpent to whom she should not have shared the matter. That led to her downfall in turn brought great trouble to their relationship with God.

I have two elder brothers and our parents tried their best to raise us in Godly way. My mother was so strict and prayerful but yet she struggled a lot with the problems created by us.

During our childhood we created lot of problems in our school, neighbourhood. When we entered the teen age we struggled a lot with temptations and at times we failed to live holy and spiritual. At times our life was a total mess.

But the best part is my mother never shared our family matters with her parents, sisters and brothers. She had never spoken about our sins, wrong doings to any one of our relatives or even to any one of our Spiritual elders. Because she had never wanted to put us down in front of anyone. So she always kept our family matters within our own family and she had never allowed my father to scold us in public and share matters with others.

She made it a point to take our problems and matters only to God in prayer. Whenever we created a problem or we struggled with sins, she cried to God alone. Because of her prayers today God has changed us, blessed us and using us for His purpose.

Because of her character no one from our relatives or from our parents’ family could create a problem in our family as they never knew what was actually going in our family.

My dear young friends, you have to learn to keep your relationship matters within your relationship. You should not share the words or secrets or failures or physical problems or anything of your loved ones with others.

You might be married. If you have a problem in your marriage life or any other matters just take it to Jesus Christ in prayer. God will speak through Holy Spirit and lead you in right way. Do not run even to your own brother or sisters and tell them about the bad behaviour or weakness or character of your spouse. If you do so it will destroy your own reputation and the entire relationship.

Do not give way to devil to attack your family life by sharing the personal matters with someone outside your marriage relationship. Your marriage relationship includes God, you and your spouse.

If any of your loved ones are sick, take that matter to God and pray. If anyone is weak Spiritually take them and their weakness to God in prayer. Whatever that troubles you in your relationship with your spouse or loved ones, take it to the Lord. He will hear your prayers and will save you from all kinds of evil.

Proverbs 25:9-10 says “... And do not disclose the secret to another; Lest he who hears it expose your shame, And your reputation be ruined."

Share all your problems, worries, trials and secrets of your marriage life or any relationship with God alone and stay blessed. You will live in peace and joy.
