GOD's INEXPLICABLE LOVE

Once I was in God's arms
Safe and sound, healthy and wealthy.

In His bosom, I found rest and peace
In His lap, I found comfort and joy.

One day I decided to stand on my will
Got down from His lap even though He stopped.

First time stood on my own feet
Felt so proud without knowing I am insecure.

God was in tears pleading with me to return
I stepped forward having ignored His pleading.

Thought I made a best decision
Lost in my worldly desires far away from my savior.

Never realized I was in enemies zone
Until I got a hit on my head.

Bleeding profusely, on the journey to death
Friends had vanished no one to rescue.

Alas! I saw dimly a tearful face
This looked at me with much pain and love.

He carefully washed my wounds
With much care lifted me from the ground.

When I regained my conscious
I felt I was back in the secure zone.

I looked up as I lay on a lap
Oh I found the face which had helped me.

A face which shows love and care
Where from comfort and joy flows.

It was the face of  My Savior Jesus Christ!
Looking at me with the assurance of forgiveness.

Oh what a love my savior has!
A love which is inexplicable.

LOVE FAILURE?

Once upon a time in my life some people whom I loved a lot, rejected my love and went away from my life. I was filled with so much pain that I could not able to bear their separation and the failure of my love. One day as I was walking on the road to a Christian assembly, I was thinking myself that how Jesus can understand the love failure without experiencing it. Then very soon, Jesus spoke in my heart saying “I can understand your pain because I know the pain of love failure when you started loving the world. My dear son, your love upon the world started with the love failure of mine upon you only. I know the pain of yours because I have experienced it”. When Jesus told me this, I really broke down and understood His love.

My dear young friends, when God’s people start loving the world or the things of the world, they have to know that their love starts with a love failure. They fail God’s love and starts loving the world. So it starts with the love failure with God. Even you may be in a situation where a girl or boy dejected your love and went away. Don’t worry. Return back to God’s love which you have failed once. He will comfort you and not leave you for Jesus knows the pain of love failure.

CODE OF CONDUCT WRITTEN BY JOHN WESLEY (TAKEN FROM THE BOOK GOD’S GENERALS: THE REVIVALISTS)

Below are some excerpts from the twelve rules of conduct written by John Wesley that every preacher was expected to use to govern his behavior :

1. Be diligent. Never unemployed a minute.

2. Be serious. Avoid all lightness and jesting.

3. Converse sparingly with women, particularly young women.

4. Believe evil of no one.

5. Speak evil of no one.

6. Tell everyone what you think wrong in him, “and that plainly, as soon as may be; else it will fester in your heart. Make all haste to cast the fire out of your bosom.”

7. Do not put on airs.

8. Be ashamed of nothing but sin.

9. Be punctual. Do everything exactly on time.

10. It is not your business to preach so many times, and to take care of this or that society, but to save as many souls as you can.

11. Act in all things, not according to your own will, but as a son in the Gospel.

12. Take no step toward marriage without first consulting with the brethren(Elders).

LETHARGIC AND CAREFREE ATTITUDE

Bible Portion: Matthew 22:1-14

1.      Invited people dint attend the wedding

If you clearly read those passage, you can understand why they dint attend. Bible says in 5^th verse that they made light of the calling. Even today most of the Christians are like that only. We were so lethargic in our calling thinking if we don’t go the heaven will not be filled. We are called to inherit the heaven. That’s true. But if we are so lethargic and carefree about our calling, we won’t inherit heaven.

2.      Destroying the invited

The called ones treated the servants of the king shamefully. Many a times we do the same with Godly servants. We treat them shamefully by not heeding to the Godly word that comes through them. Verse 7 says that the king destroys those murderers and burned up their city. The king doesn’t even want the remaining of anything that belongs to those murderers. That’s the only reason he burned up their city after destroying them. God will do the same to you if you doesn’t heed to His word. Even you are an invited one; God will not spare you if you disobey His calling.

3.      Others are invited

As the called ones became unworthy, the king invites others who were once not at all worthy to attend the marriage. Verse 10 says that the wedding was filled with guests. Heaven will be full even without you. Heaven is more important for you than you to Heaven. God will fulfil His work through others when you reject the same work.

4.      Man who is lethargic

As the king came in to see the guests, he saw everyone with wedding garments except one. That particular man was also lethargic about God’s calling and that’s why he is not perfect. His lethargic attitude got a place for him in outer darkness where weeping and gnashing of teeth never ceases. If you are so lethargic in God’s calling that was given to you, you will miss Heaven and you will end up in reaching Hell.

Be serious about God’s calling. Fulfill it through God’s grace in God’s time. You will be a blessing to many and you will also be blessed by God.

A LETTER FROM SATAN (TAKEN FROM INTERNET)

Dear Fool,

I saw you yesterday as you began your daily chores. You awoke without kneeling to pray. As a matter of fact, you didn't even bless your meals or pray before going to bed last night. You are so unthankful. I like that about you!

I cannot tell you how glad I am that you have not changed your way of living. Fool, you are mine. Remember, you and I have been going steady for years, and I still don't love you yet. As a matter of fact, I hate you, because I hate God. I am only using you to get even with God.

He kicked me out of heaven and I'm going to use you as long as possible to pay Him back. You see, Fool, GOD LOVES YOU and HE has great plans in store for you. But you have yielded your life to me and I'm going to make your life a living hell. That way we'll be together twice. This will really hurt God, thanks to you. I'm really showing Him who's boss in your life. With all of the good times we've had...We have been watching dirty movies, cursing people out, partying, stealing, lying, being hypocritical, fornicating, overeating, telling dirty jokes, gossiping, back-stabbing people, disrespecting old people and those in leadership positions. NO respect for the church, bad attitudes...

Surely, you don't want to give all of this up. Come on, Fool, let's burn together forever. I've got some hot plans for us. This is just a letter of appreciation from me to you. I'd like to say "THANKS" for letting me use you for most of your foolish life.

You are so gullible, I laugh at you. When you are tempted to sin, you give in. HA, HA, HA! You make me sick. Sin is beginning to take its toll on your life. You look 20 yrs. older. I need new blood, so go head and teach some children how to sin. All you have to do is smoke, over indulge in alcoholic beverages, drugs, lie, cheat , gamble, gossip, fornicate, be prideful (remember that's why God kicked me out of heaven). Do all of this in the presence of children and they will do it, too. Kids are like that.

Well, Fool, I have to let you go for now. I'll be back in a couple of  seconds to tempt you again. If you were smart, you would run somewhere, confess your sins, live for God with what little bit of life that you have left. It's not my nature to warn anyone, but to be your age and still sinning, it's becoming a bit ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I still hate you...It's just that you'd make a better fool for Christ.

REVEALING JESUS

Most of us wish to reveal Jesus through our life. Even though we desire to reveal Jesus, we find it very difficult to do so. In Bible if we see the beginning chapters of Matthew, we read that through Mary, Jesus came into this world. Jesus was revealed to this world through Mary. I want to share with you two characteristics which are needed to reveal Jesus through our lives.

1.      Being filled with Holy Spirit (Last part of Matthew 1:20)

“.....for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”

                                    If you have to reveal Jesus through your life the first thing you have to do is to be filled with Holy Spirit. If you have a purpose in your life to reveal Jesus, make sure that the purpose which was conceived in you is through Holy Spirit. Without the filling of Holy Spirit you can never reveal Jesus in your life.

2.      Knew not the world (Matthew 1:25)

“And knew her not till she had brought forth her first born son: and he called His name Jesus.”

           

            The second important thing is that you should not know the world.

Knowing the world in the sense you should not possess any worldly behaviour in your life. Jesus was revealed through Mary coz she does not know Joseph. Similarly Jesus will be revealed through you if you knew not the world. May God give His abundant grace in your life to reveal Jesus through your life.

ONE LIFE – LETS LIVE FOR GOD

Few days back I heard from one of the person whom I know that his young cousin has died three days before his marriage cos of heart attack. Few months back a young eighteen year old guy whom I know died in an accident when he went for trekking with his friends. Even in the daily newspapers we read news about so many people dying in accident at a very small age. But we who are alive, we never take our life seriously. We always think that we have so many days to live. We postpone things thinking that we have tomorrow. We waste our precious life doing sinful things that displeased God. 

My dear young friends, you have to understand that life is not a cricket match that you have a chance again to play even when you lose a match. Life is not an exam that we can write again even once you fail. Then what is life? Life is a gift from God given to us to live for His glory.

My dear friend, live your life for God. You have only one chance. No more life will be given to you. If you have to get into eternal life which awaits you after this life, you must live this life for the glory of God alone. Don’t fail coz you won’t get another chance.

Ecclesiastes 12:1 says “Remember now your creator in the days of your youth...”

Also Ecclesiastes 12:13 says “.....Fear God, and keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man”.

NO ONE CAN TOUCH YOU

1 PETER 2:9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people......”

            In America, a girl heard the above verse from the preacher who was preaching the message on a service. She was touched when she heard that, she was God’s own daughter and she belongs to Jesus. She surrendered her life completely to Jesus and began to walk so closely with Him.

            One day as she was walking on a lonely path after her college, a criminal who was observing her for so many days caught hold of her and put the knife in her neck with the desire of having a physical relation with her. As she understood his thought, she smiled at him and said “No one can touch me, I belong to JESUS”.

            As she repeatedly said this, he had freeze in the same position without moving his hand or anything. Soon the people who were walking informed the police and the police came and arrested him and also took the girl for filing the case.

            The police asked the criminal that they came only after certain minutes to the spot and what made him not to do anything wrongly to that girl in those minutes. Then the criminal told the police, “As soon as the girl said that no one can touch her because she belongs to JESUS, a divine power captured me and made me to freeze in the same position without doing any harm to her”.

            The girl with so much of joy in her heart told the police that it is the power of Jesus. My dear young people surrender your life to Jesus. You are God’s own chosen people. No one can touch you or your life because you belong to JESUS.

BOOK REVIEW 2 - GOD CAN DO IT AGAIN (BY Ms. DOLLY)

Kathryn Kuhlman- “The woman behind the miracles” one of the most prominent evangelists in the late 90’s, known for her crusades and the innumerable healings in her meetings - A person who allowed the Holy Spirit to manifest through her. In the foreword to this book she writes beautifully that she is no miracle worker, she is just a woman and every time a miracle happens, she marvels just like the crowd, she weeps as the people weep.

This book ‘God can do it again’ is not a theology book or a story book, it is the witness of some of the many thousands who were healed in the meetings of Kathryn Kuhlman. As you read through the pages you can see the pain, the agony and the hopelessness faced by the common people.

Fred Burdick, was one such person who was happy with his 2 kids and wife, living as a building contractor in California. But his happy life didn’t last long as a tragic accident disabled him for the rest of his life. Suffering in intolerable pain was not only it, but he had to see his daughters cry over his bed every night asking him, “Dad when will you walk again?” It pierced his heart every time he saw his family praying, asking God to heal him. His pain and his situation had turned him a skeptic as he lost faith in God. He was sure about his future, that he would spend the rest of his life in bed. But his wife had heard something else. She had heard about a woman preacher, in whose meetings people were healed. The girls & his wife prayed every night that God would heal him in that upcoming meeting. Fred thought they were going mad about this lady preacher & he was not ready to go anywhere for he knew there was no hope left for him. But Fred couldn’t do anything as his family forced him to the meeting. He sat there looking at the preacher and thought all the people there were nuts. Just as he sat there, she called out and said, someone’s spine is healed over there. He didn’t want to believe, he hadn’t prayed for a miracle, he didn’t even ask, but there he was healed and his life turned over.

This is one of the many stories put together in the book. Fred writes, “If God could heal a skeptic like me, He can heal you too”.

If you are looking for a miracle in your life and you want to increase your faith in God, then this is the book you should definitely study. As you read the true incidents from their very words, a new hope, a new strength will rise and you will start to believe in miracles, not in some part of the world but in your life, today. Yes, the same God who did it there can & will do it again in your lives too. GOD CAN DO IT AGAIN.

BOOK REVIEW 1 - GOD'S GENERALS (BY Ms. DOLLY)

Roberts Liardon, is the author of this book who diligently worked for two decades on this book. God appeared to him at the age of 12 and God’s one of the direct missions was to research the lives of these warriors and he has been collecting and studying about their lives ever since. When you and me run for café and shopping he would have appointments and engagements with very old men and women to have interviews regarding the lives of the preachers. How wonderful God has used Roberts to bless millions of people like us.

This is the book of the Holy Spirit and as Dr.C.Peter Wagner said, this will encourage you and strengthen you to succeed in whatever purpose God has for you in His kingdom’. As Morris Cerullo, the famous preacher said this is destined to be a spiritual classic.

Gods generals were diamonds in the rough mostly unsophisticated, uneducated by man’s standards – yet God recognized who possessed the unique characters. He could use if they surrender their call. Sometimes we see the great evangelists and preachers and wonder how talented and special they should be. 

In this book Liardon shows that God chooses weak vessels and uses them mightily if only that person is just available in His hands. The book details the lives of 12 people that were powerfully used by God with all signs and wonders following. The 12 people are

John Alexander,  Dowie Maria Woodworth Etter,  Evan Roberts,  Charles F Purham, William J Seymour,  John G Lake,  Smith Wiggelsworth,  Aimee Semple Mc Pherson,  Kathryn Kuhlman, William Branham and  Jack Coa A.A Allen.

Some of the familiar names Kathryn Khulman, Smith Wigglesworth, John G.Lake all reminded me the power of god manifested in this world and how those periods in history are marked for God’s deliverance and healing power in the entire societies. This book not only shows the successful ministry life of the people, but it also shows how careful we should be in handling God’s power and glory so that we shouldn’t be deceived by the devil. The life histories just took me into the very lives of those dear and admired, reputed people, the very generals of God along with God’s generals mentioned in Hebrews chapter 11.

If you want to read a classic spiritual book about the life of God’s saints, then definitely this is the book for you. Young people who are sure about God’s calling in their lives to do His work, should study this book to know the real path of ministry, deceptions put by the devil and how to come back even when a fall occurs.
