EVEN AS YOU STAY FAR AWAY FROM HIM, JESUS REMEMBERS YOU

In a remote village there lived a widow woman with her only daughter. Being financially very poor, she struggled to raise her daughter and somehow enabled her to study well. When her daughter grew into a beautiful young woman, she told her mom, “Mom, I know that you have suffered for me and struggled to bring me up. It is enough. Now I will go to work in another city and will earn lots of money and will take care of you”. Having said this, she went to a foreign city leaving behind her mom.

After some days, she got a job. She began to send money every month to her mom without fail. But as days went by she got involved in all kinds of unwanted activities and she began to go behind worldly pleasures and soon she forgot her mother. She started to enjoy a luxurious life. As fate would have it, after few years, she lost all her beauty, wealth and friends. She became lonely without anyone to help her. When all her wealth and beauty disappeared, so did everyone around her. She went into so much depression. At that stage, she felt terribly bad about herself and she began to remember the love of her mother. She remembered the days in which her mother took care of her in spite of all the pain. She felt very guilty about the way she forgot the love of her mother and decided to return to her. She hoped that her mom’s love would have never changed she will forgive her for all her mistakes.

But when she returned home, she was shocked to find that her house was covered with dry leaves and garbage and there was darkness all around the house. She suddenly had a doubt whether her mom was alive or not. When she was about to open the door, she heard her mom calling her by name. She then saw her lying in the corner of room surrounded by darkness. She ran towards her mom with tears and her mom hugged her with great love and acceptance. She wondered how her mom called her by name in that deep darkness. When she asked her mom about that, she replied: “My dearest daughter, from your childhood I know your footsteps. Even though you went far away from me, my heart did not forget you nor your footsteps. That’s why as you walked on the dry leaves I heard your footsteps and identified that it was you, my beloved daughter.

Our God’s love is much greater than the love of this worldly mother. If a mother could remember the footsteps of her daughter even after many days and years, won’t God remember you, my dear child? God’s love is so big and great that He gave His life for you. Jesus says in John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”.

You can never find a love similar to that of God’s love anywhere. God will not forget you, forsake you nor will He hate you. My dear Child, come to Jesus Christ who gave His life for you. Return back to Him. Jesus Christ who gave His life for you on the cross still loves you so much and He waits for you.....

Back when the telegraph was the fastest method of long-distance communication, a young man applied for a job as a Morse Code operator. Answering an ad in the newspaper, he went to the office address that was listed. When he arrived, he entered a large, busy office filled with noise and clatter, including the sound of the telegraph in the background. A sign on the receptionist’s counter instructed job applicants to fill out a form and wait until they were summoned to enter the inner office. 

The young man filled out his form and sat down with the seven other applicants in the waiting area. After a few minutes, the young man stood up, crossed the room to the door of the inner office, and walked right in. Naturally the other applicants perked up, wondering what was going on. They muttered among themselves that they hadn't heard any summons yet.

They assumed that the young man who went into the office made a mistake and would be disqualified. Within a few minutes, however, the employer escorted the young man out of the office and said to the other applicants, "Gentlemen, thank you very much for coming, but the job has just been filled." 

The other applicants began grumbling to each other, and one spoke up saying, "Wait a minute, I don't understand. He was the last to come in, and we never even got a chance to be interviewed. Yet he got the job. That's not fair!" The employer said, "I'm sorry, but the last several minutes while you've been sitting here, the telegraph has been ticking out the following message in Morse Code: 'If you understand this message, then come right in. The job is yours.' None of you heard it or understood it. This young man did. The job is his." 

We are so busy living in a world that is full of noise and clatter, like that office. People are distracted and unable to hear the still, small voice of God as He speaks in creation, in the Scriptures, and in the life and work of Jesus Christ. So I ask you, as I ask myself, "Are you listening, or are you waiting to be called? Do you hear the Lord when he speaks to you?

JESUS CHRIST WILL COME INTO YOUR LIFE AGAIN

My dear young friend, you might be in a confused state right now thinking about your backslidden Spiritual life and you might have a doubt whether Jesus will come into your life again and will bless you. Let me encourage you my dear friend. Jesus Christ will surely come into your life again and He will bless you with His blessings. Do not be discouraged thinking about your past. You have Jesus Christ who loves you more.

Let’s take the life of Peter as an example and divide his life into four phases as follows:

Phase 1: PETER WITHOUT JESUS

Luke 5:5 “And Simon answering said to Him, Master we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing....”

You can clearly see in this phase that Peter was without Jesus. Since he doesn’t have Jesus in his life, he didn’t have blessings too. But what happens when Jesus enters into Peter’s life.

Phase 2: JESUS ENTERS INTO PETER’S LIFE

Luke 5:6,7 “And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes and their net broke. And they beckoned to their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came and filled both the ships, so that they began to sank.”

Peter’s life was once void without any blessings. Then as Jesus entered into his life and as he began to do things according to the counsel of Jesus, he gets an overflowing blessing. As Peter received Jesus into his life, he received blessings too. Did Peter stand firmly in the relationship with Jesus?

Phase 3: PETER’S BACKSLIDING

John 21:3 “Simon Peter said to them, I go a fishing. They said to him, we also go with you. They went forth and entered into a ship immediately; and that  night they caught nothing.”

Jesus Christ entered into Peter’s life and transformed his life from catching fishes to catching people. But Peter decides to go back to his previous life and in that process, he left Jesus. That night Peter would have felt guilty that his life has got no blessing because he went back to his old life. He might have doubted whether Jesus will accept him again. Did Jesus accept Peter?

Phase 4: JESUS ENTERS INTO PETER’S LIFE AGAIN

John 21:4,6 “But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. And He said to them, cast the net on the right side of the ship and you shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.”

My dear young friend, this is the wonderful loving character of Jesus Christ. Even though as Peter went away from Him, Jesus comes into Peter’s life again and He restores back the broken relationship. Not only that, Jesus fills the life of Peter again with overflowing blessings. Jesus Christ is a loving God who will not cast anyone who comes to Him.

Even today my dear young friend, you might have left Jesus as Peter did. You might have lost your entire Spiritual and worldly blessings. You might have lost the peace of your life. Don’t worry. Jesus Christ loves you and His hands are stretched forth towards you. He is waiting for you. If you surrender your life to Jesus Christ again, He will restore the broken relationship and fill you with His overflowing blessings.

THOUGHT - 5 (JESUS WILL SAVE YOU)

I WILL MAKE YOU AS A SIGNET, SAYS HOLY SPIRIT

Haggai 2:23 “In that day..... will I take you....and will make you as a signet: for I have chosen you, says the Lord of hosts.”

This is what God is promising to you today. There are three important things that Holy Spirit wants you to understand.

1.      God’s love upon you

In the 22^nd verse, God says that He will overthrow and destroy the kingdoms. But yet He chooses to bless one particular person. Even if God decides to destroy kingdoms, He will not destroy you for He loves you a lot. That’s what God says to you today: “For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed.” Listen carefully. Mountains may depart, kingdoms may perish and hills be removed but God’s kindness and peace will not be taken away from your life. Why so? Holy Spirit says to you today, “Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are Mine.”(Isaiah 43:1). Remember my friend, you are His and His love is upon you. God loves you. So He will be patient with you and He will not let your foot to slip. Not only that, He will protect you from all kind of evils.

2.      He has chosen you

Why God loves you and why He protects you? Because He has chosen you. Why God has chosen you? He has chosen you that you have to be a Holy generation. God wants to do something through you that He wants you to be segregated from the world. He has chosen you for a purpose. In His time His purpose will be fulfilled in your life.

3.      God will take you and will make you as a signet

Holy Spirit wants you to carefully understand this verse. It’s not that you will be made as a signet by your own self. God says clearly that I will take you. It’s His grace that will make you as a signet. Do not worry about the present situation of your life. God does not want you to dwell in guilt feelings thinking your weakness and sin. He just wants you to lean on Him fully so that He will take you and make you as a signet.

Let us just try to understand the specialty of that signet:

1.      The signet dwells in the hands of the king. (i.e The signet belongs to king and king alone. You belong to Me alone says Holy Spirit)

2.      King uses the signet to seal the things. (i.e The decrees which are sealed by king’s signet will alone be valid. I will bless whom you bless and I will curse whom you curse says Holy Spirit)

3.      The signet has to be with the King to receive the respect. (i.e The signet which is in the hands of king alone will be respected. Without Me you can do nothing says Holy Spirit)

My dear friend, God promises you today that you will be a signet. No evil powers or manly powers can destroy the plan that God has on your life says Holy Spirit.

But one thing you have to do to receive God’s blessing in your life. God tells you to do today: “Abide in Me”. My dear friend, you have to learn to Abide in God and you have to learn to be in the centre of God’s will. If you abide in God, He will abide in you and you will be a signet in God’s hands. Surrender your life to God and be blessed. God bless you, friend.

WOMEN, DO YOU DARE TO CHANGE GOD’S WRATH?

There stood a Prophet of God in the midst of a town named Nineveh and shouted: “Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown.”

What made him to cry against an entire city? Let’s read Jonah 1:2

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before Me.”

It is not the cry of a prophet alone; it is the cry of the God that came through a Prophet to that entire town.

God’s wrath came on that entire city because it was filled with wickedness. God gave them only forty days to see their reaction to His wrath. God in His divine wisdom and anger, decided to overthrow the entire city.

But Bible says in Jonah 3:10 “And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that He had said that He would do to them and He did it not.”

It is true that God decided to destroy Nineveh but it is also true that God changed His anger and He had not destroyed the city.

Why God has not destroyed Nineveh?

The wicked people of Nineveh repented from their evil way and pleaded to God having little faith that God might change His mind. And indeed God’s anger is changed. It took only few days for the people of Nineveh to change God’s wrath.

Let’s now turn our attention to another incident in which God’s anger revealed.

Genesis 3:16 To the woman He (God) said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children…..”

Eve has done a wicked thing and that brought God’s curse on the entire community of woman. But it is really sad to know that how we took it in our lives as a normal issue. Even so many hundreds of years after that incident which has happened at the Garden of Eden, till now women are suffering due to the pain of the child birth.

“The pain of childbirth shock modern mother and having a baby has become a terrifying and shocking experience for mothers” says a recently concluded survey.

It took only few days for the wicked people of Nineveh to change God’s wrath but it is taking several years for us to change God’s wrath but still we have not succeeded in that.

Bible tells us in Galatians 3:13 “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree.”

If at all today you believe Jesus Christ as your savior, why are you carrying God’s wrath even in your life now. You should learn to overcome God’s wrath. Jesus Christ bore all your curses on the cross but yet why are you still holding onto His wrath that came on the mankind several years ago.

Put your faith in God. Claim God’s blessings of cross. I strongly believe that if we claim what Jesus Christ has done for us in the cross and plead to Him in faith, He will remove the curse and wrath that we are carrying for years together. And if we suceed in doing so, surely there won’t be any pain during the child birth.

Nineveh people changed God’s wrath in few days. Then why can’t we do that in our life.

HOW DOES GOD FEEL? (TAKEN FROM INTERNET)

There was once a bridge which spanned a large river. During most of the day the bridge sat with its length running up and down the river paralleled with the banks, allowing ships to pass thru freely on both sides of the bridge. But at certain times each day, a train would come along and the bridge would be turned sideways across the river, allowing a train to cross it.

A switch man sat in a small shack on one side of the river where he operated the controls to turn the bridge and lock it into place as the train crossed. One evening as the switch man was waiting for the last train of the day to come; he looked off into the distance thru the dimming twilight and caught sight of the train lights. He stepped to the control and waited until the train was within a prescribed distance when he was to turn the bridge. He turned the bridge into position, but, to his horror, he found the locking control did not work. If the bridge was not securely in position it would wobble back and forth at the ends when the train came onto it, causing the train to jump the track and go crashing into the river. This would be a passenger train with many people aboard.

He left the bridge turned across the river, and hurried across the bridge to the other side of the river where there was a lever switch he could hold to operate the lock manually. He would have to hold the lever back firmly as the train crossed. He could hear the rumble of the train now, and he took hold of the lever and leaned backward to apply his weight to it, locking the bridge. He kept applying the pressure to keep the mechanism locked. Many lives depended on this man's strength.

Then, coming across the bridge from the direction of his control shack, he heard a sound that made his blood run cold. "Daddy, where are you?" His four-year-old son was crossing the bridge to look for him. His first impulse was to cry out to the child, "Run! Run!" But the train was too close; the tiny legs would never make it across the bridge in time. The man almost left his lever to run and snatch up his son and carry him to safety.

But he realized that he could not get back to the lever. Either the people on the train or his little son must die. He took a moment to make his decision. The train sped safely and swiftly on its way, and no one aboard was even aware of the tiny broken body thrown mercilessly into the river by the onrushing train. Nor were they aware of the pitiful figure of the sobbing man, still clinging tightly to the locking lever long after the train had passed.

They did not see him walking home more slowly than he had ever walked: to tell his wife how their son had brutally died.

Now if you comprehend the emotions which went this man's heart, you can begin to understand the feelings of our Father in Heaven when He sacrificed His Son to bridge the gap between us and eternal life. Can there be any wonder that He caused the earth to tremble and the skies to darken when His Son died? How does He feel when we speed along thru life without giving a thought to what was done for us thru Jesus Christ?
