MR. OBAMA IS RE-ELECTED AS THE PRESIDENT - WHAT SHOULD WE DO NOW?

Finally the most awaited election results came out yesterday. Mr. Obama was re-elected as the President of United States. He had won the elections in a good margin.

Few days back I heard an American Pastor speaking in a church service. He told that he voted for Mr. Romney and he urged the congregation to pray that Mr. Romney should be elected as the President. He stated few reasons why Mr. Obama should not be the president. He told that Mr. Obama supports gay marriage and he also added that Mr. Obama has not taken any steps to abolish abortion and all.

We all know that God hates abortion and gay marriage. Also I heard that someway Mr.Obama is connected to a Hindu Idol. I don’t know how far it’s true. But I heard so. Some people feel that he does things against Jesus Christ. 

Most of the Christian people thought that Mr. Obama should not become the President. It’s good that we had desired something to happen in this election. But what we desired might not have happened. We might have had some burden upon this nation. But we should understand that God has more burdens on America than us.

As the sons and daughters of Almighty God we should know what we have to do now?

1.      We have to understand that God appoints the authorities.

Daniel 2:21 says like this: “….He removes Kings and raises up Kings….”

So we have to know that Mr.Obama become the President because God has permitted it. As God has permitted this, we should love the President.

2.      We should be submissive to the authority.

Romans 13:1 says like this: “Let every soul be subjective to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.” 

We have to be submissive to the authority that God has given us. Not only to Mr.Obama but to all the authority that God has kept in our life, we should be submissive.

3.     Most importantly we have to pray for the authority.

I Timothy 2:1,2 says like this: “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peacable life in all godliness and reverence.”

You have to pray for Mr.Obama and his government. Only then God will touch his life and enable him to bring new policies which will bring blessings in the nation of America.

Whatever the nation you might be living now, but you should pray for the people who are in authority so that you will lead a blessing filled life.

My dear young friends, you might be working or studying. But you should always know the following things to lead a life which will bring glory to God. 

1.      Love your authority.

You should love your teachers, boss, your parents and all who are in the authorititative position in your life.

2.      Be submissive to your authority.

Obey your authority in everything except the things which does not glorify God’s name. Childrens, you should learn to obey your parents for they are given by God to you.

3.      Pray for your authority.

Your authority might do things against you. Do not murmur about it. But do pray for them for God is able to change their hearts. Keep praying for your authority so that you may live a peace filled life.

BEAUTY FROM ASHES - TAKEN FROM A CHRISTIAN MONTHLY MAGAZINE

She got down from her latest model car, self-driven, possessed excellent command over English. She had everything in her to be called ‘beautiful’. Pastor Charles observed her from his room. He was an experienced Pastor who had a longing to do something for God.

She entered the room of Pastor Charles speedily.

“Sarah, please come”, Pastor Charles invited her and made her sit on a chair. Although she tried to talk to him she could not. But suddenly she broke down and began sobbing.

She said, “I am ugly and my life is ugly”. Her eyes were blood shod and tears filled her cheeks.

She continued, “Pastor, my life is a total failure. Give me one reason why I should live?”

“Why do you say that?”, asked Pastor Charles.

She replied, “Look at my life. See what a mess I have made. See the things I have chosen to do. Look at the name I have gained – a slut”. Pastor Charles allowed her to finish her long confession at the end of which she broke down into a million pieces. She sobbed and sobbed till she had no more tears to drop. Then she calmed down.

“Sarah, so what did you do about that?” asked Pastor Charles.

She replied, “I tried Pastor but I could not. The more I tried the more the world shouted ‘I am ugly’. Among those who shouted were my friends, my youth fellowship and many more.”

Pastor Charles waited till she calmed down. Then he took a beautiful brand new Barbie doll and asked her, “Do you like it?”.

She replied, “It is beautiful and I like it”.

“Let’s suppose you made this doll how you will like it?”.

“Oh, I would love it with all my heart”.

Then Pastor Charles told her, “Sarah you are also like this doll. God made you and whenever He sees you, He says, ‘Lovely’” (Genesis 1:4,12,25,31).

Sarah said, “Pastor, will you please stop it. You always try to make me feel good”.

Pastor Charles did not respond to that because he was tired of seeing people who just cannot believe the lovely people that they really are within themselves.

Then he took a tube of fevicol paste and began to squeeze it on the lovely doll.

“Pastor, what are you doing? Stop it” she said.

The Pastor did not stop. Within a few moments the doll was destroyed. Then he went out of his rood, took a handful of mud and came inside. The mud was stinking.

Sarah, pulled out her hand kerchief and covered her nose.

Then Pastor Charles poured the mud on the fevicol that was pasted on the doll. Now the doll was buried under the mud – sand. He asked her, “Now look, how is it!”

Sarah replied, “It is intolerable. I am feeling sick.”

“Will you love it?”

“Never”.

“Will your friends love it?”

“No”.

“Will your parents love it?”

“No”.

“Will anyone in your youth fellowship like it?”

“No”.

“Can they be blamed for not loving it?”

“No, they can’t be blamed”.

But Pastor Charles said, “I love it”.

Sarah was shocked. “What do you mean?”

Pastor Charles replied, “The real Barbie is buried underneath the mud and it is beautiful and lovely. What I am seeing now is the dust and the ugliness. It is not the fault of the doll. In the same way God has created all of us beautifully. But it is the sins of our ancestors and our own sins that destroy our beauty. But can the doll be cleaned from this mud?”.

Sarah replied, “No”.

Pastor Charles said, “The doll cannot clean the mud and dirt from it. Only another person can do it”.

Then he showed Sarah a particular portion from the Bible and Sarah read it.

“The blood of Jesus Christ, His son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

Pastor Charles continued, “It is not your fault to appear ugly to this world and yourself. It is the mud poured on you by these worldly things is the reason for your ugliness. But you always look beautiful to God. The blood He had shed on the cross is so powerful to cleanse you from all your sins”.

Sarah happily nodded her head in agreement and her eyes brightened.

“And provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour” – (Isaiah 61:3)

PRAY FOR AMERICA - (Special Prayer Edition)

There was a famous servant of God in India who used to visit America every year for ministry. More than ten years he was visiting America regularly. But he was so upset about the way American people respond to God’s word. He saw their lives and found out that they are far away from God.

At one particular year he decided to end the visit to America. As he decided that he won’t visit America anymore, he went there for the last time. The very next day he had no ministry responsibilities. So the family in which he had stayed prepared the bedroom nicely for him to take good rest. He was so happy about the ambience of the room and went to sleep peacefully.

Half an hour passed Jesus appeared to him and woke him up. He quickly got up and saw the face of Jesus. He saw a great sorrow in the face of Jesus. With tears Jesus spoke to him saying, “My son, why have you decided not to come again to conduct prayer in this country which I love a lot. I love this nation and its people very much. You have to come here regularly and you have to pray for this nation.”

Having seen the burden of Jesus Christ on American nation, the servant of God dedicated his life again for the ministry of God in America. Even now he is visiting America every year and conducting prayers.

My dear young friends, as God’s heart is filled with sorrowful burden towards America, it’s our responsibility to pray for this nation.

Here are some of the prayer requests I felt to share with you:

God’s appointed person should come as the next president in the upcoming elections.

The new president should bring in new ideas which benefit the American residents.

America economic growth should increase.

Rescue work should be fastened in New York City which was affected by SANDY storm.

Gay marriage should be abolished completely in America for God is against such marriages.

People should know that Sex before marriage is a sin and they have to know that God hates such activities.

Divorce rates should completely decrease. (God unites a guy and a girl in marriage to be together till the death. Man should not separate what God has united)

Doors of gospel should be opened.

Idol worship temples should be demolished.

Churches should dedicate themselves for prayer. They should not go behind money and fame.

God should raise people who pray for their nation diligently.

God’s revival should come upon America. They should turn their faces towards Jesus Christ.

American people should understand the burden of their Creator.

America should help Israel in all its efforts. (God has promised that whoever blesses Israel will be blessed and whoever curse Israel will be cursed)

Let’s unite our hearts and pray for America so that God will bless that nation abundantly.

YOU ARE MINE AND YOU ARE A SPECIAL TREASURE SAYS JESUS CHRIST

“But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.” – Isaiah 43:1

Today you might be walking through the path of sorrow and dejection. You might feel lost in this world. Do not worry. God is telling you today: “You are Mine”. 

My dear young friends, you belong to God. You are God’s own people. If you read I Peter 2:9 you can understand that you are a chosen generation and His own special people. 

Deuteronomy 7:6 says like this: “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”

Today God wants you to know that you belong to Him and He has chosen you for a purpose. He loves you with a great zeal. You are special to Him. You might live in sin and you might have moved far away from Jesus Christ. Do not get discouraged for He still loves you. 

Holy Spirit had put in my heart to share with you three blessing that God has stored for His own people. As you belong to God, He will bless you with these blessings in this month.

1.      You will never be put to shame.

“You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.” – Joel 2:26

The first promise that God is giving you today is “you will never be put to shame.” You might go through a path of difficulty in your studies, job or family life.  You might be struggling hard in your life. As you have looked to Jesus Christ for help, you will never be put to shame. He will grant you victory. He will raise you high. 

2.       You will be satisfied with God’s goodness.

“....My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the Lord.” – Jeremiah 31:14

You might not have received the blessing that you are yearning for. You might be discouraged as you are waiting for a particular blessing for a long time. You might be in hunger to receive God’s blessings. You will be surely satisfied with His goodness. 

You want to do something for the glory of God but some guilt is tormenting you a lot. You are saying to yourself that you are not a good person and you will never be useful to Jesus Christ. Today Holy Spirit is telling you, “You are chosen by Jesus Christ. He has already forgiven you. Do not remember your past sins and hurts. Jesus Christ will satisfy you with a special anointing and blessing filled days.”

3.      You will see God opening new ways for you.

“.....I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen.” – Isaiah 43:20

You have to remember that you worship a Mighty and Loving God who brings waters out of wilderness and desert for His people. 

You might feel like all the doors for your future has been shut and there is no way to move on. You might be facing hurdles in your job place or your family life or your studies. Do not lose hope. Jesus Christ is there for you. He will go before you and remove all the hurdles in your life. He brings out rivers from the desert. Your life might also be like a desert. Jesus Christ is promising you today that the rivers of blessings will flow into your life.

My dear young friends surrender your life to Jesus Christ. He wants to bless you abundantly. Psalm 34:5 says like this: “They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed.” All you have to do is to look to God to receive His blessings.

I heard about a testimony of a young woman who received a blessing from Jesus Christ. She was happily married and her life was going well. But even after some years into marriage life, she had no child. She was so sad that she was not able to conceive a child. Days rolled on. She faced so much of shame among her relatives, there was no goodness in her life and her future seems to be shut in darkness without any blessing.

One day she decided to pour out her heart to Jesus Christ. She prayed very earnestly for a child and Jesus Christ heard her prayer. She could not control her joy when she came to know that she was carrying a child in her womb. Happily she went to a doctor for a check up. They took a scan and told her shocking news. They told her that her child has only one kidney and the child won’t survive. So they advised her to abort that child.

She could not bear her grief. She went to another doctor and he also said the same. Again she went to another doctor but the third doctor also told her the same. Hearing all those words from the doctors she ran to the feet of the Lord and cried terribly.

She came out of her prayer room and told her family people like this: “I belong to God and the child I carry was given by Him. I know my Jesus will never forsake me and He will do a miracle for me.”

Everyone around her including the doctors thought she gone mad. She continued looking to God. Finally the birth day came and the doctors carried the child to the scan room immediately after the birth. They scanned the child and to the surprise they found that the child was well with two kidneys. Even today the child is alive and healthy. As the mother of the child looked to Jesus Christ for help she received a miracle. She was not ashamed at the end; she got goodness from God and Jesus Christ turned her wilderness to rivers of blessing. Jesus Christ will do the same to you.

My dear young friends, you are God’s own people and if you look to Jesus Christ,

                                    You will not be put to shame

                                    You will receive God’s goodness

                                    He will make a way for you in the wilderness and rivers of blessings will flow into your life.
