JESUS CHRIST HAS COMPASSION ON YOU AND SO HE WILL BLESS YOU

“As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him.” – Psalms 103:13

Recently I was asked to preach God’s word in an old age home. A village church pastor was the one who is maintaining that home also. God spoke to me what I should speak there and so with great peace and happiness I went there to preach. When I went there I found more than 20 elderly people.

Before I reached there I was thinking that I will speak to elderly people around 50 years of age. But I went there I found that most of the people there were above 65 years of age. As I saw them, I sat there without knowing what to do. Most of the people were weak but yet they sat in the chair to listen God’s word. 

It was the first time I stood before such a crowd of elderly people. As I sat there I thought I can’t preach to this people for I do not know how to speak to them at all. I felt so weak within myself but then Jesus Christ spoke to me through Holy Spirit saying, “These elderly people are My people. I love them a lot and I pity them. I have great compassion upon them.”

As soon as God finished speaking to me, a great compassion filled my heart which I had never felt before. I stood among them to preach and I told what God told me when I was sitting there. Many elderly people cried as they heard and felt God’s love upon them. 

I was really thrilled to feel the love that Jesus Christ has upon that elderly people. That’s what God says in Isaiah 46:4, “Even to your old age, I am He And even to gray hairs I will carry you...”

Those old people might not have their loved ones near to them. Their loved ones might have thrown them out of their family. But Jesus Christ is with them. He had carried them thus far and He will carry them till the end. 

My dear young people, you might feel like orphan today. Your loved ones might have despised you. You might have lost your loved ones and so you might be going through the path of tears. Let not your heart be troubled. Jesus Christ has great compassion upon you. 

Once a family lived in Bethany and Bible says that Jesus Christ loved everyone of that family. The incident was told in John 11. One day one of the family members got sick and he died. Two of his sisters wept and they called for Jesus. When Jesus came they ran to Him and cried. 

Bible says in John 11:33 and 35, "Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled... Jesus wept."

When those whom He loved cried, Jesus also cried. He didn’t stop there. He went to the tomb and through His power, He raised Lazarus from death. Joy filled that family again. 

My dear young people, Jesus Christ loves you and He has compassion on you. Because of your situation, you may be shedding tears. Holy Spirit wants me to tell you that Jesus Christ is also crying with you. He will not stop till He does a miracle and restores all that you lost. Jesus Christ will fill you with His joy.

Your loved ones might have failed to understand your agony. They might have failed to support you. Do not get discouraged. Lord who created you loves you and has compassion upon you. He will never leave you. He will bless you richly and you will live happily. God bless you.

GOD'S PERFECT GIFT - 8 (MR. RAVI SHANKAR - GOD GIVEN YOUNGER BROTHER WHO IS A COMFORT TO ME)

“Let brotherly love continue.” – Hebrews 13:1

Once I finished my PG degree, God blessed me with a job immediately. Few months after I joined, every morning I saw a guy coming along with his friends. Whenever I saw him, Holy Spirit asked me to talk to that guy alone. He doesn’t belong to my department and so I hesitated a lot to talk to him. Days went by. 

Finally I saw that guy alone in a prayer centre and then I decided to talk to him. At that time he was worried about a particular thing in his life and Holy Spirit told me to speak certain things about that to him. I spoke to him for a few minutes and from that day our relationship had begun.

First when we met, God spoke to him through me and so I thought Jesus Christ is bringing him into my life to strengthen and comfort him. I thought I will be a blessing to him. But then as days went by I understood that God brought him into my life to bless me and comfort me. Such a blessing he was to me.

We stayed together in the same hostel for a year. At that time while I was working, he was studying UG degree. His family members were non Christians but yet he accepted Jesus Christ as his saviour. Even on those days when he was very new to prayer, I saw him weeping and praying even at 4 o clock in the early morning. Such was his zeal and love upon God.

I have heard him sharing so many new revelations from God’s word which God had spoke to him very personally. But yet when someone shares even something ordinary he will listen to that with much patience and humbleness. He never showed his Spiritual goodness outside to anyone with pride. Even today after so many years when he speaks to me, he used to say nothing good about him. That was his humble character. 

There were times I used to get sick and during those times he cared a lot for me as a brother. He took me to hospital several times and stayed with me throughout the days of sickness without even thinking about his studies. There was a time I went into severe sickness and was admitted in ICU. On that particular night I did everything to come out of that ICU because I could not stay there at all. On that night he was the one who took me to the hospital and stayed with me. Seeing my rough attitude, doctors scolded him and on the other side I scolded him very badly but yet he stood by my side and did his best as God saved my life on that night.   

Even after several years of that incident, I used to think about my behaviour on that day and wonder how he could shed tears for me with so much of love and affection. His love upon me was so deep and even today the respect and love he shows was quite amazing. 

Till this day he never pointed out any of my mistakes and spoke to me harshly. Several times his smile brought so much of God’s peace into my life. I loved the moments that we had spent together on those days. Whenever he needed me I never stood by his side but he was there at all times when I needed him desperately. 

Currently he is working in a software firm and doing God’s ministry whenever he find time. Constantly I ask him to write articles for the blog but yet he keeps so many things hidden within his heart. 

Nowadays we speak once in a month. But even if we didn’t speak regularly, I had remembered the good things he had done to me and I thanked God so many times for He gave him as a younger brother to me. 

At this juncture, I thank God for giving Ravi as a younger brother to me. God spoke to me many times through him and comforted me. Ravi was a great comfort to me and he is one of the God’s perfect gifts in my life. God did so many wonderful things to me through him. I thank God for that also. 

I hope and pray that God will continue to shower His grace upon our relationship so that our brotherly love continues for years to come. 

Ravi bro, you are one of the God’s perfect gift in my life and I thank you for all the love and affection you had shown to me. God will bless you abundantly in the days to come and will use you for His glory.  

My dear young friends, God will send his people to you when you need somebody at your side and will comfort you. God will never leave you orphan. Jesus Christ will give you all that you need. God bless you.

TABLE FOR TWO - INSPIRATIONAL STORY BY AUTHOR UNKNOWN (TAKEN FROM THE WEB)

He sits by himself at a table for two.

The uniformed waiter returns to His side and asks, "Would You like to go ahead and order, sir?" 

The Man has, after all, been waiting since seven o'clock--almost half an hour. "No, thank you," the Man smiles. "I'll wait for her a while longer. How about some more coffee?"

"Certainly, sir."

The Man sits, His clear blue eyes gazing straight through the flowered centrepiece. He is dressed up enough to make a companion feel important, respected, loved. It seems that He has taken every precaution to make others feel at ease with Him. Still, He sits alone.

The waiter returns to fill the Man's coffee cup. "Is there anything else I can get for You, sir?"

"No, thank you."

The waiter remains standing at the table. Something tugs at his curiosity. "I don't mean to pry, but..." His voice trails off.

"Go ahead," the Man encourages.

"Why do You bother waiting for her?" the waiter finally blurts out. This Man has been at the restaurant other evenings, always patiently alone. "Because she needs me”, Says the Man quietly.

"Well, sir, no offense, but assuming that she needs You, she sure isn't acting much like it. She's stood You up three times just this week." The Man winces, and looks down at the table. "Yes, I know." "Then why do You still come here and wait?"

"Cassie said that she would be here."

"She's said that before," the waiter protests. "I wouldn't put up with it. Why do You?"

Now the Man looks up, smiles at the waiter, and says simply, "Because I love her."

The waiter walks away, wondering how one could love a girl who stands him up three times a week. The Man must be crazy, he decides. Across the room, he turns to look at the Man again. He doesn't look crazy, the waiter admits. Maybe the Man's love is stronger than most.

The Man watches the waiter, wonders if he's ever been stood up. The Man has, many times. But he still can't get used to it. Each time, it hurts. He's looked forward to this evening all day. He has many things, exciting things, to tell Cassie. But, more importantly, He wants to hear Cassie's voice. He wants her to tell Him all about her day, her triumphs, her defeats... anything, really. He has tried so many times to show Cassie how much He loves her. He'd just like to know that she cares for Him, too. He loses himself in thought, knowing that Cassie is late, but still hoping that she will arrive.

The clock says nine-thirty when the waiter returns to the Man's table. "Is there anything I can get for You?"

The still empty chair stabs at the Man. "No, I think that will be all for tonight. May I have the check please?"

"Yes, sir."

Why do you do this, Cassie, his mind cries as He gets up from the table.

"Good-bye," the waiter says, as the Man walks towards the door.

"Good night. Thank you for your service."

"You're welcome, sir," says the waiter softly, for he sees the hurt in the Man's eyes that His smile doesn't hide.

The Man passes a laughing young couple on his way out, and His eyes glisten as He thinks of the good time He and Cassie could have had. He stops at the front and makes reservations for tomorrow. Maybe Cassie will be able to make it, he thinks.

"Seven o'clock tomorrow for party of two?" the hostess confirms.

"That's right," the Man replies.

"Do You think she'll come?" asks the hostess. She doesn't mean to be rude, but she has watched the Man many times alone at his table for two.

"Someday, yes. And I will be waiting for her." The Man buttons his overcoat and walks out of the restaurant, alone.

As the Man turns toward home, Cassie turns into bed. She is tired after an evening out with friends. As she reaches toward her night stand to set the alarm, she sees the note that she scribbled to herself last night.

'7:00,' it says. 'Spend some time in prayer.' Darn, she thinks. She forgot again to meet God in prayer at seven o clock. She feels a twinge of guilt but yet she assured herself of God’s love and decided to meet God in prayer surely the next day for she knows Jesus will forgive her. And she's sure He doesn't mind about the past. The next day she made it a point to meet the Man at a table for two right at seven o clock.

THE WALL - 24

SOON YOU WILL SEE ABUNDANCE OF BLESSINGS

“...Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” – 1 Kings 18:41

Ahab was the king of Israel and he did things against God’s word. Then God spoke through Elijah, the prophet and proclaims a drought in that land. Severe famine struck that land. There was no dew and no rain in that land. 

Nearly after 3 years came God’s word to Elijah and He said, “...Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.”

For the past few years or months, your life might have been full of famine. You might have longed for so many blessings but you have received none. There is neither blessing dew nor blessing rain in your life. You are filled with sorrow as you are struggling hard. You might feel like your prayers were not heard by God. 

Today Holy Spirit says to you, “My dear child, there is the sound of abundance of rain.” Jesus Christ is going to give overflowing blessings in your life. The years of famine will come to an end in your life. Your life will be filled with God’s blessings. 

God is not promising just rain. He is promising abundance of rain. Even in your life He is not going to stop after blessing you simply. He is going to give you abundance of blessing. Jesus Christ will give you His peace abundantly; His joy abundantly; His blessings abundantly and also His riches abundantly. You will be blessed in a abundant way. 

Recently I heard the testimony of a middle aged guy who is a Human resource manager. He studied bachelor arts degree in a institution and then he pursued MBA degree in a university. He had a great hope about his future. But he didn’t got a job while he was doing his course. With sorrow in his heart, he left his college and went to his native place. 

He stayed there for months knowing not what to do. There was no sign of blessings in his life. His heart was filled with pain but yet he never failed to pray. He prayed earnestly to God to bless Him. One day God answered his prayers and blessed him with a job. Slowly God promoted him to the level of HR manager. 

Recently a leading news organization selected him as one of the top most 40 HR manager in India. What a blessing! Once he was nothing and no one knows anything about him. Then as he looked up to Jesus Christ in prayer, He blessed him abundantly in such a way that he became one of the top most professional in his country. 

My dear young friends, there will be abundance of blessing in your life. Our God is a God who turns deserts into pools of water. Springs of blessings will come forth into your life. You will see God’s mighty hand in your life doing great things in your life. 

So do not worry. You will be blessed. There is sound of abundance of rain and soon you will see rain. You will be blessed with abundant blessings. God bless you.

JESUS CHRIST WILL BE YOUR COMFORT AND HE WILL TURN YOUR MOURNING AND SORROWS TO JOY

“...For I will turn their mourning to joy, Will comfort them, And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.” – Jeremiah 31:13

Today you might be going through tough times with heart full of sorrow as there was no one to comfort you. You might feel like you will lose everything and you will be put to shame. Do not get discouraged. 

Jesus Christ is promising you today that He will turn your mourning to joy. He will comfort you and fill you with His joy. Your days of mourning will end. You will be filled with God’s peace and joy.

In the year 2010 my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is a blessing that God has given us. We treasure her advices and prayers a lot. But on those days sorrow filled our hearts and we could not even smile at others. One side we kept our hope in God and prayed a lot and on the other side we thought she might die. 

Our relatives and well wishers could not comfort us. With heavy heart we went for surgery. Jesus Christ gave His grace to the doctors to perform the surgery. The surgery was success and my mom was confronted with radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment. 

We know that she could not even bear a simple head ache. So we wondered how she will bear the pain of chemotherapy. My mom pleaded to God to keep her alive so that she can see my marriage. 

Jesus Christ promised her that He will be with her throughout the treatment. As He promised, He had never left us alone. He comforted us and He gave His strength to my mom to go through all kinds of treatments. After one year when doctors checked my mom they found that she was completely fine. 

We were so happy and rejoicing. We thanked God for He had turned all our sorrows into joy. My mom’s health was stable and soon I got married. My mom was so happy to attend my marriage. 

Years passed by. Recently few weeks ago, suddenly my mom got terribly ill. No doctors could actually find a reason for her weakness. As days passed she could not stand at all. As a family we pleaded to God to give her life. But as my mom had completed all her duties, she was ready to die because she knows for sure that she will go to Heaven. 

We also know that she will go to Heaven because even in simple things she led a righteous life. But yet we loved her a lot and we want her to live along with our dad to pray for us and our children. 

With so much of sorrow we admitted her in a hospital but yet her health was not completely alright. As our hearts were filled with fear, we prayed a lot. 

Jesus Christ heard her prayers and He healed her completely. Few days back she went for a complete check up in the hospital where she got treated for cancer and doctors told us that my mother was completely fine and there are no signs of any disease within her body. 

Jesus Christ turned our sorrows into joy. He had put an end to our mourning. Even today He is leading us with His peace and joy. 

My dear young friends, Jesus Christ will do the same in your life. Today the situation may be different. You might have lost all hopes about your future. There might be no signs of help from anyone. Do not fear. Jesus Christ will help you. He will be your comfort and here after you will only rejoice. There will not be any more sorrows in your life. Your life will be filled with God’s peace. Your family life will be taken care by God and all that belongs to you will be protected by God. You will live happily. God bless you.
