BE GLAD - AN INITIATIVE TO SPREAD GOD'S LOVE TO THE POOR AND NEEDED ONES (REPORT - 1)

        

 My dear young friends,

We are glad that we could start the BEGLAD initiative few months back. Initially we have decided to help the poor people and so we have spoken about this initiative to few of our friends and they agreed to pay a small amount monthly for this initiative.    

               

In the first phase, we have visited a government hospital and helped few poor people by giving them a little cash amount so that they could buy their food. We could help nearly 13 people who were severely affected by some disease.  Also we visited an old age home and gave them 25kgs rice and grocery items. 

In the second phase, 25Kgs of rice was given to a poor family, old age home and to a widow family. Also 2 children were identified from a poor family and books needed for their studies were given to them. Also stationary items were given to another 2 children from a family who were doing God’s ministry in a village. In a particular family the father and the mother both were handicapped and they had a small child. We could help them by buying grocery items.

           

In the third phase we helped a poor family and also a girl who was actually struggling to pay her college fees. 

We are trying our best to share God’s love to the poor people by helping them in the best possible way. Kindly pray for us so that we can help more people in the coming days. RELATION & RELATIONSHIPS -15 (GIVE PREFERENCE TO OTHERS DESIRE)

“Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another” – Romans 12:10

Yesterday I went along with my elder brother to share God’s word in a remote village. The pastor of that church used to provide lunch for the believers as most of them come from a remote place in the mountain. Most of them are tribal people and they used to walk for more than 10kms to attend the church service. 

In the previous week itself the pastor has made the announcement that we are coming there to preach. By God’s grace we could able to go there and preach His word. Once the preaching was over, I was standing outside the church and looking at the people who are eating and was touched by two things. 

First thing was the food was kept in a big vessel and everyone was so patient and following an orderly way to get the food. I was so surprised by their behaviour. I have seen in certain places where people will crowd themselves near the food vessel and fight for the food. The people whom I saw yesterday gave preference to one another and did everything with so much affection.

At last, my brother was praying inside for the people who came there and as I was standing outside I saw someone bringing food in a separate vessel. With that vessel he went inside the church and so I understood that it was brought for us. I looked at the food and it was the same food that was provided to the believers. 

As we sat to eat, the pastor introduced three young girls and said, “As they knew that you are coming they went and brought special rice for you and cooked it for you specially.”

They were so young and their deed touched my heart. They heard that two people are coming there to preach. They don’t know who we are but yet with so much of love and care they thought that we might find difficult to eat their rice which they usually cook for themselves and so they took time and had spend money to buy rice for us and cooked it by themselves. 

I was really touched by their love. Though they didn’t know who we are they loved and cared for our desire. That made us to love them with all our heart. 

My dear young friends, caring for others desire is important for a better relationship. Your loved ones might not convey their desire all the time to you by their words but yet you should understand their need and preference and you should try hard to do your best for them. That will bring joy and peace to your relationship. They will in turn love you and you will have a blessed relationship.

JOY FILLED PARENTING - 6 (DO NOT LET ANYONE DISCOURAGE YOUR LITTLE ONES)

“Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.” – Colossians 3:21

Few weeks before as I was going to have my lunch in a particular place I saw a group of ladies sitting and talking along with a little boy. As I stood near to them for few minutes I heard one of the old ladies telling that little boy that he was taken from a government hospital. She actually meant that he was not born to his actual mother but taken from a government hospital. She was constantly telling him that for fun. It’s not the truth but yet she was repeatedly telling him again and again the same thing. 

When she was speaking I remembered the things happened in my childhood. I have two elder brothers. We heard from our mother that once one of my elder brothers got sick and was taken to the hospital. At that time I was a little baby and the next day as my mother want to see my elder brother she took me to the hospital. 

But as she entered that hospital she felt that if she take me inside I might get some infection and so she had put me in the hospital reception and then ran to the room where my brother was admitted so that the one who was with my elder brother can come out and take care of me. After few minutes I was taken by one of my relative.  

Years passed and in my home I was little different in certain levels compared to my brothers and so they used to say that our mom has picked a wrong baby on that day in that particular hospital.

With this they made a lot of fun at different occasions. Though they are my brothers initially their words had hurt me but whenever they had spoken that my mom used to come and say to me that it was not like what they are saying and you are my son. She made sure that I was not hurt by their words. 

Her comfort and words had really helped me. If she would not have come and told me like that when my brothers made fun of me, I would have got discouraged and I might have gone astray long back. 

I know that my brothers love me and at times we make fun of each other but yet their words had the power to hurt me. What if the same words are spoken to me by my parents or some other relatives like it was spoken to that little boy whom I had seen on the way. 

As a parent you have to make sure that no one words had hurt your child. Particularly your words should never hurt your child. You should not yell at them comparing them with animals or others. You should never say to them that you have a doubt whether they are born to you or not because of their behaviour. 

My dear young parents, do not discourage your children through your words and do not let anyone discourage them by their funny behaviour or words. God be with you and give you His wisdom to raise your children in His way.

YOU ARE THE APPLE OF GOD'S EYE

“For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.” – Zechariah 2:8

Every night I used to sleep near my little daughter. Some times in her sleep she used to move around to the edge of the bed. Whenever I woke up from the middle of my sleep, I used to check my daughter. If I found her sleeping away from her place I lift her up and put her back in the right place. But yet once she fell from the bed when I was sleeping near to her.

Recently she got some insect bites during night time and so whenever I woke up I used to check whether any insect is near her or mosquito is biting her. But most of the times she get insect bites without my knowledge. 

I am her father and I try my best to keep my eye upon her. Since I am a human father I could not keep my eye upon her constantly during night time because I myself was sleeping without knowing what was happening around me. I know I am not a perfect father to my daughter as I could not protect her properly.

But yet one thing I know for sure there is another pair of eye which was looking at my daughter day and night. It’s the eyes of Jesus Christ. He is the one who protected her without any injury when she fell from the bed and even today she is fine in all aspects because of Him alone. 

God’s eyes are upon us. That’s true. But there is another important thing that we have to understand. Bible tells us in the above verse that we are the apple of God’s eye. Yes my dear friend, you are the apple of God’s eye. 

You might be facing difficult times in your life. People around you might try to destroy you. Today you feel like you are all alone in this path because you could not sense God’s mighty presence in your life. Do not get discouraged. 

Your enemies are not fighting against you. They are not plotting evil against you. They are doing that against the apple of God’s eye. If they touch you, God promises in the next verse that His hands will be raised against them. 

There is no need for you to worry. God will take care of everything. In your work place someone might be putting you down. In your college or friends circle someone might be making fun at you. Do not cry. 

God will remove all your enemies and all those who make fun at you and all those who plot evil things against you. You will inherit my promises with my peace says God to you today. You will inherit God’s blessing. No one can plug out God’s blessing from your life. 

If a worldly father like me keeps my eye upon my daughter and look after her, how much more our Heavenly father will take care of us. He will definitely guard us and lead us. 

My dear young friends, You are the apple of God’s eye and no harm will touch you. You will live with God’s peace. God will protect you and bless you.

THE WALL - 32

YOU WILL BE LOOSED FROM YOUR INFIRMITY

“But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” – Luke 13:12

One day as Jesus was preaching in one of the synagogues, he saw a woman who had a spirit of infirmity for 18 years. She was bent over and she could not raise herself up. When Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” Then He laid His hands on her and immediately she was made straight. Jesus Christ healed her completely. 

That woman had the spirit of infirmity for 18 years. Jesus Christ had set her free from the bond of infirmity. When Jesus saw her and touched her, the infirmity in which she suffered for 18 long years had vanished. 

Even today you might be suffering because of a sickness. You might be struggling with any sins. You might have an infirmity for so many years and you might think that there is no way to come out. 

Your life was bent over. You have no blessings. Everything happens against your desire and you feel like living a life like this is totally waste. You wish to die than to live in this darkness filled life. Do not get discouraged. 

Today Jesus Christ says to you that you are loosed from your infirmity. Jesus Christ is setting you free from the bondage of sorrow, sickness, poverty and sins. You are not bound by evil anymore. You belong to God and He is setting you free. Holy Spirit says to you that God will raise you up.

So far your life was bent over. You went deep down before the sight of others. Today God promises you that He will bless you and raise you high. You will be lifted up by the hands of God. 

I know a young guy who got addicted to homosexual sin. He struggled in that sin for years. He could not come out of it at all. Whenever he commits that sin, immediately he used to promise that he will not do that again. But he had repeatedly done that for years. No one around him knew about that. His heart was filled with guilt and pain. But then one day he decided to cry to God. As he had continued praying one day Jesus Christ touched him.

He had set him free from all the bondages. Soon after that he felt a great peace in his heart and today he was blessed and doing God’s ministry. 

My dear young friends, you will be loosed from your infirmity and you will be raised. God will do wonders in your life. Believe and receive your miracle.
