Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”- John 20:19
You might be going through confusion and anxiety, not knowing what to do next in fear. To you today Jesus Christ says, “Peace be with you.” My dear children of God, the Lord will surely fill you with His peace and guide you.
1. Your Redeemer lives
“For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth." - Job 19:25
Disciples of Jesus knew that He was dead. And so, when some of them said that Jesus had been raised from the dead, they could not easily believe it. Fear surrounded their lives because of their unbelief. When they saw the glory of the risen God, they were amazed and strengthened.
Jesus Christ is still alive today.
Do not be afraid. Your Redeemer is alive. You will surely see the glory and the power of His resurrection says Holy Spirit to you.
2. The Lord is your support
“He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my support." - Psalm 18:17,18
People might have risen up against you to destroy you. They may be bigger and stronger than you. Yet the Lord, who has risen up in your favor, is greater than those who oppress you. The disciples who were hiding in fear preached about Jesus Christ boldly among the Jews.
Your opponents will not overpower you. God will not hand you over to them. The Lord will raise your head in front of them. You will stand boldly as a witness before them for the glory of God's name says Holy Spirit to you.
"… because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." - 1 John 4:4
3. You will rejoice
" The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord." - John 20:20
All of your worries and sorrows will soon change as the Lord appears in your life. You will see your sorrow turn into joy and a new hope will arise in you.
You who are filled with fear today, you will soon arise and shine for the glory of the Lord. Your life will be transformed for His glory. It will be a surprise in your eyes and in the eyes of others.
"… I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” John 16:22
