QUOTES ON TOP

“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

LOVE - GHG KIDS DEVOTION (Ms. Hadassah Deborah)

 LOVE

1 Corinthians 13:13
“But the greatest of these is love.”

What is LOVE?

Love is a special feeling of caring for someone. We can also describe love using words like kindness, care, and compassion. The Bible teaches us that Jesus has a very special kind of love for us. His love is called unfailing love.

Let us learn about two kinds of love.

1.  TEMPORARY LOVE

Some kinds of love can change with time. For example:

  • Love between a husband and wife
  • Love between parents and child
  • Love between relatives
  • Love between siblings

These relationships are very important and precious, but they are part of our life on earth. Sometimes people argue, misunderstand each other, or even become separated. This shows us that human love can be weak and can sometimes fade or change. Why does this happen? Because this love is temporary and can easily break during small arguments and disagreements.

2.  UNFAILING LOVE

The permanent or unfailing love comes from Jesus the Almighty. At times, you may feel that you are not important or that no one loves you. But this is not true. Jesus, who created the heavens and the earth, shed His blood on the cross to save you and me. His love for us never fails. When you call on Jesus, He will answer you. He will never leave you or forget you. Jesus does not see caste or religion—He loves everyone equally.

Let us remember that the greatest gift of all is love, and the greatest love is Jesus’ unfailing love for us.

May God bless you and keep you safe. God says, “Call on Me in the day of trouble; I will answer you and save you.”
