WHY ARE YOU TROUBLED? WHY DO DOUBTS ARISE IN YOUR HEARTS?

“And He said to them, why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?" - Luke 24:38

Recently I heard a testimony of a young woman who was blessed by Jesus Christ. She had an elder sister and a younger brother. The elder sister got married and soon she got pregnant. Then this girl got married but as years passed she didn’t get pregnant. Soon her younger brother also got married and his wife also got pregnant soon after the marriage. 

This girl loved Jesus Christ so much but yet she was barren for eight long years. Because of this, she was worried and suffered a lot. No one could comfort her at all. There was a man of God who prayed for this girl a lot with tears. One day he called that girl and said, “My dear daughter, this is going to be your year. Within this year end you will get a child.”

Jesus Christ saw the tears of that girl and He honored the faith of that servant of God. Within two weeks the servant of God received happy news from that woman that she was pregnant and she is expecting her baby now. 

My dear young friends, are you worried because of your family problems? Are you losing your faith slowly? Do you feel so tired longing for blessings? 

Holy Spirit wants you to know that your Savior is alive. Jesus Christ died but rose again and He is living even today. As He suffered a lot in the cross, His disciples lost all their strength and hope. They were living behind closed doors.

But one day Jesus Christ appeared to them and asked, “Why are you troubled? Why do doubts arise in your heart?”

Today He is asking the same question to you. Why are you troubled and why do doubts arise in your heart?

Jesus Christ wants you to have hope because He is alive. He is standing next to you today to bless you and reveal His power through your life. 

You might be worried because you might have betrayed Jesus like Peter. Do not get discouraged. After resurrection, Jesus revealed Himself first to Peter among all His disciples. He will reveal Himself to you and use you for His glory.

You might be worried because you could not find Jesus Christ like Mary Magdalene. Do not fear. Jesus Christ is not dead. He is alive. He appeared first to Mary Magdalene. He will soon appear to you and will bless you richly. The problems that are making you to shed tears will soon disappear. Your fears will be removed and God’s peace will soon fill your life. 

You might have a doubt like Thomas had. Do not feel guilty. Jesus Christ will prove to you that He is alive and will make you believe. You will live for God.

Jesus Christ is a living God and He is alive today. There is no reason for you to worry. Your Saviour lives and He will never forsake you. Do not fear and do not doubt God’s power.

Jesus Christ will bless you and raise you. You will see God’s mighty power operating in your life very soon. You will live. God bless you.

IF YOU BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, YOU WILL NOT PERISH

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

Most of us know about the life of David. David was called by God to be a mighty king. God had chosen him and set him high among the entire Israelites. But one day David fell in sin with Bathsheba and killed her husband Uriah. God’s wrath can be understood through the prophetic words spoken by Nathan, the prophet. 

There was one verse which touched my heart. It is found in 2 Samuel 12:13.

“So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.”

My dear young friends, you are chosen by God. You know very well that God had called you for a purpose. You know your calling. But yet you are struggling to come out of your sinful activities. You feel guilty but yet you are repeating the same thing again and again. 

These days you are thinking that there is no more forgiveness for you and you feel that you can’t fulfill God’s purpose in your life. 

Today Jesus Christ is speaking to you. He says to you that you will not perish for He is putting away your sins. 

All you have to do is hold onto God’s hand from now on and walk according to God’s counsel.

There was a young teen guy who got addicted to homosexuality. When he realized that he is doing a great sin, he was deep into it. No one around him knows that he was a homosexual. Everyone thought about him as a holy person but yet he had this sinful behaviour in secret. Whenever he commits this sin, soon after that he will pray to God that he won’t do it again.

This he did for several days and months. Years passed but there was no change in his attitude. As guilt begun to overpower his mind, he cried to Lord desperately for His strength and help.

Jesus Christ heard his prayers and gave him His strength to overcome the sin. Every day as he looked onto God for His counsel, Jesus Christ took hold of his hand and led him out of that behaviour. One fine day he felt so happy to realize he was completely out of that sin. But yet he was worried that whether God will use him for His glory.

Jesus Christ had never cast him away. He transformed that young guy’s life and today He is using him for His glory. 

My dear young friends, you might also be struggling with some bad habits and you do not know the way of escape. Today you have to know that Jesus Christ is the way of escape. 

If you look to Him for help, Jesus Christ will never cast you away. He will give you His strength and will lift you up. 

Today Jesus Christ says to you, “My dearest child, you will not perish in this sinful habit and you will not perish because of this sin. I know your anguish and anxiety. I will put away your sins and will set you free. I love you so much. Since you are precious in my sight, I will honour you. You will live for My glory.”

“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." - John 3:17

Jesus Christ came into this world not to condemn you but to save you through Him. Come to Jesus Christ and you will be saved. If you believe in Him you will not perish. God bless you.

SWEET MARRIAGE - 0 (AN INTRO)

And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” – Matthew 19:4-6

Someone said like this, “A Successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.”

Getting into the marriage life is not so difficult but living in that relationship according to God’s will and desire needs great patience and love. When my parents started to find a wife for me, I had several thought and fears in my heart. Most of the times, I told myself that I was not ready for it. 

At those times, there were quite a few married people who were known to me struggled in their marriage life. When I attended one of their marriage ceremonies, I thought they were wonderful couple. But yet when their marriage failed my fear increased.

As I moved on, few married people told me not to get into married life very soon and they also told that I can’t enjoy if I marry. Days progressed and with doubts I went to the presence of God.

God gave me peace and told me that my marriage life will be filled with peace once I marry a girl according to His will. 

Holding my hands, God led me into the marriage life in August 2012. Nearly 20 months gone and I can sense God’s divine peace resting in my family life. I won’t say that there were no misunderstandings between me and my wife. We both have our own weaknesses but yet we learned to lean onto God for everything. 

When this year started, Holy Spirit put in my heart to write an article about how to have a sweet marriage life. So only I am starting to write this article today. 

As we move on, I will share with you the things which Holy Spirit taught me, the fears I had, the peace God gave, the misunderstandings and fight which I have seen in the life of the people whom I know and the important lessons we can learn from the life of others. 

I am not a great servant of God but yet I will share with you whatever the important points Holy Spirit put in my heart to share.

THE CROSS - POEM COMPOSED BY HOLLY (SCHMIDTBLEICHER) THORN

Called "the place of the skull"
where criminals were killed,

An impossible debt was paid in full,
as innocent blood was spilled.

Up from that hill of death arose
a rugged wooden frame,

Upon which our loving Savior chose
to hang and die in shame.

The blood that bathed its splintered beams
willingly He bled;

We could be reconciled by no other means
but the blood of Christ be shed.

He hung with stakes driven through His flesh,
suspended there to die.

He suffered this tormenting death
in place of you and I.

They mocked Him with the crown of thorns
they forced upon His head.

In quiet sorrow He bore all their scorns,
for not a word He said.

They jeered at Him saying, "If you're God,
save yourself; come down."

Ten thousand angels He could've called
but His life chose to lay down.

For even in their sin He loved them;
He was dying for them too.

He prayed, "Father, forgive them
for they know not what they do."

Darkness fell; the earth shook
the Father turned His face.

For upon sin He could not look
and sin, on His Son was placed.

"My God, why hast thou forsaken me?"
He cried out in despair;

Though nails pierced His hands and feet
it was love that held Him there.

Jesus Christ, who knew no sin
for us was made to be.

The sins of all poured out on Him
He bore our pain and agony.

Then at His words, "It is finished!"
the temple veil was torn

Sin's separating grip relinquished
we now come before His throne.

Sin and death conquered; salvation won.
God's promise He fulfilled

When in that moment His work was done
He, to God, His spirit willed.

His side they pierced and death assured
for blood and water flowed

By His punishment our peace procured
and in righteousness we're clothed.

Greater love hath no other
than He had for sinners lost
To give His life our sins to cover
on that tree we call The Cross.

JESUS CHRIST CAN CHANGE YOUR CHARACTER - INSPIRATIONAL INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED IN THE LIFE OF DR. BEN CARSON (TAKEN FROM THE BOOK "GIFTED HANDS")

I tried to kill Bob. I tried to kill my friend. No matter how tightly I squeezed my eyes shut, I couldn’t escape the image-my hand, my knife, the belt buckle, the broken knife and Bob’s face.

“This is crazy,” I finally mumbled… I’d dreamed of being a doctor since I was 8 years old. But how could I fulfill the dream with such a terrible temper? When angry, I went out of control and had no idea how to stop. I’d never make anything of myself if I didn’t control my temper.

Two hours passed. I felt sick to my stomach, disgusted with myself, and ashamed. “Unless I get rid of this temper,” I said aloud, “I am not going to make it. If Bob hadn’t worn that big buckle he’d probably be dead, and I’d be on my way to jail or reform school.”

Misery washed over me. My sweaty shirt stuck to my back. Sweat tricked down by armpits and my sides. I hated myself, but I couldn’t help myself, and so I hated myself even more.

From somewhere deep inside my mind came a strong impression. Pray. My mother had taught me to pray. My teachers at the religious school in Boston often told us that God would help us if we only asked Hi. For weeks, for months, I had been trying to control my temper, figuring I could handle it myself. Now, in that small hot bathroom I knew the truth. I could not handle my temper alone.

I felt as thought I could never face anyone again. How could I look my mother in the eye? Would she know? How could I ever see Bob again? How could he help but hate me?

“Lord,” I whispered, “You have to take this temper from me. If you don’t, I will never be free from it. I’ll end up doing things a lot worse than trying to stab one of my best friends.”

Already heavy into psychology (I had been reading Psychology Today for a year), I knew that temper was a personality trait… Even today some experts believe that the best we can do is accept our limitations and adjust to them.

Tears streamed between my fingers. “Lord, despite what all the experts tell me, You can change me. You can free me forever from this destructive personality trait. You have promised that if we to You and ask something in faith, that You will do it. I believe that You can change this in me.” I stood up, looking at the narrow window, still pleading for God’s help. I couldn’t go on hating myself forever for all the terrible things I’d done.

Misery engulfed me in darkness. “If you don’t do this for me, God, I have got no place else to go.” At one point I’d slipped out of the bathroom long enough to grab a Bible. Now I opened it and began to read in Proverbs. Immediately I saw a string of verses about angry people and how they get themselves into trouble. Proverbs 16:32 impressed me the most: “He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city” (RSV)

I felt as though the verses had been written just to me, for me. The words of Proverbs condemned me, but gave me hope. After a while peace begin to fill my mind. My hands stopped shaking. The tears stopped. During those hours alone in the bathroom, something happened to me. God heard my deep cries of anguish. A feeling of lightness flowed over me and I knew a change of heart had taken place. I felt different. I was different.

And since that day, since those long hours wrestling with myself and crying to God for help, I have never had a problem with my temper.  That same afternoon I decided I would read the Bible every day. I have kept that practice as a daily habit and especially enjoy the book of Proverbs. Even now, whevever possible, I pick up my Bible and read the first thing every morning.

The miracle that took place was incredible when I stop to think about it. Some of my psychologically oriented friends insist that I still have the potential for anger. May be they are right, but I’ve lived more than twenty years since that experience, and I have never had another flare-up or even had a serious problem of needing to control my temper.

I can tolerate amazing amounts of stress and ridicule. By God’s grace, it still doesn’t require any effort to shake off unpleasant, irritating things. God has helped me to conquer my terrible temper, once and forever.

From that terrible day when I was 14 years old, my faith in God has been intensely personal and an important part of who I am. About that time I started to hum or sing a hymn that has continued to be my favourite, “Jesus is all the world to Me.” Whenever anything irritates me, that hymn dissolves my negativity. I have explained it this way to young people, “I have sunshine in my heart regardless of conditions around me.”

I am not afraid of anything as long as I think of Jesus Christ and my relationship to Him and remember that the One who created the universe can do anything. I also have evidence-my own experience- that God can do anything, because He changed me.
