“…Do not be afraid…for you have found favor with God.” – Luke 1:30

1.      You are included in God’s plan.

 “…Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son…”- Isaiah 7:14

God had a plan to send His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. God had a plan and He has included Mary in His plan.

Even today God loves everyone and want to reveal Himself to the unreached so that they can have everlasting life. God has included you in His plan for His purpose. You do not belong to you but to God as you are a chosen one.

2.     You have found favour with God and He is with you.

“…Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” – Luke 1:28

Mary found favour in the sight of God and God was with her as she was the chosen one.

Holy Spirit says to you that you have found favour with God as you are called to reveal God through your life. You are a chosen one to reveal God’s glory and God’s love to others through your life. God is with you.

GHG SHORT DEVOTIONALS - 36 (WAIT FOR GOD AND TRUST IN HIM)

“…Why are you crying?...” – John 20:13,15

Early on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb where Jesus was laid and saw that the stone was removed. Later she stood there and wept as she could not find Jesus inside the tomb. Jesus appeared to her and asked, “Woman, why are you crying?” 

1.     The One whom you are longing for is right beside you says Holy Spirit to you.

“At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus." - John 20:14.

Mary wept because she could not find Jesus. As she was weeping, she spoke to the angels and as she turned around she saw Jesus standing there but yet she didn’t realize Him. You are also crying because you could not find Jesus in your life’s situation. You are longing to see Him and to hear His voice but you are feeling emptiness within you and in your life. Today Holy Spirit wants me to say to you that Jesus Christ is standing right beside you to wipe away your tears and He will bring joy into your life. You will see Him.

2.     Wait patiently for God.

As Mary could not find Jesus, she ran to the disciples and told them about it. Peter and John came to the tomb and as they could not find Jesus, they went back. But Mary persistently waited there. 

Bible says in Mark 16:9, “Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene…”

Jesus appeared to Mary first as she was waiting persistently to see God that morning. Have faith upon God and seek Him with all your heart. As you wait patiently for God and trust in Him, He will definitely do wonders in your life. No one who hopes in Him will ever be put to shame.

Mary’s tears brought Jesus to the place where she was. God heard the groaning and cry of Israelites and He came down to rescue them from their suffering. Even today, God will do the same to you. He will take control of your life and will wipe away your tears.

GHG SHORT DEVOTIONALS - 35 (YOU WILL BE SATISFIED WITH GOD'S LOVE AND GOODNESS)

“So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water; and putting it on her shoulder, he gave it and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away. Then she departed and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba.” – Genesis 21:14

In Genesis 35:23-26 we could read about the twelve sons of Jacob. The count includes the sons that he got through the maidservants of Leah and Rachel. Even Abraham got a son through the maidservant of Sarah. But then one day as God asked Abraham to do as Sarah said, he sent Hagar and his son away. 

We read in Bible that God has blessed Abraham in everything. He had so much of wealth and blessings. But then when he sent his own son and Hagar away, he just gave bread and a skin of water. He should have given so many things to Hagar and his son but he failed to do that. Soon they were in the verge of death and she wept. Hearing the voice of her son, God interfered and made her see a well of water.  

Abraham gave Hagar skin of water but God gave her well of water. That’s God’s love! His love upon you is everlasting and He never leaves you nor forsake you. 

1.     You will be satisfied with God’s Love.

Someone out there, you are ditched by someone whom you had loved and trusted. You are thrown out after being used for selfish reasons. You lost everything and standing without anything. Today God wants me to tell you that He will satisfy you with His love. God has started to fulfil His will upon your life and He wants you to know that He cares for you and He has greater plans regarding your future. You will be satisfied with My love says God to you. As God made the son of Hagar a great nation, He will also raise you in front of the one who betrayed and ditched you.

2.     You will be satisfied with God’s goodness.

Hagar wandered in the wilderness and was in tears. God made her to live. You might be longing for some blessings that you lack in your life. You might have lost hope about your future. You will be satisfied with My goodness says God to you.
