“We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of
the weak, and not to please ourselves." - Romans 15:1
There was a young boy
and girl who fell in love with each other. They loved each other so deeply
though they had their own ups and downs in their life. The girl was so
spiritual than the boy and she used to sing well. She conducts worship session
in so many spiritual meetings in the place where she lived.
Everyone liked the
girl for her love towards God. But yet she loved that guy a lot knowing that
she is doing something against God’s will. One fine day she met another boy
when she went for a particular rehearsal. He was a musician who had a great
love for God.
As she got some time
to be with that boy, she liked the way he plays keyboard and because of her
weakness she thought that they will make a best pair. Slowly that boy begun to
occupy her thoughts and so she was filled with guilt as she thought about her
commitment with the first guy.
On a particular day
early morning around 2:00 A.M, she suffered a lot because of the guilt and so
she thought that she will open up her weakness with the first guy. The very
next day she called him and spoke to him about her own weakness of falling in
love with the other guy.
The first guy listened
to her with so much politeness and told her not to worry but to pray. The girl
was surprised and asked how he could accept this. He simply replied her
stating, “If this happened after our marriage, will I throw you out of my life?
No. I understand your weakness. So even now I won’t do that. But I will pray
for you.”
That guy accepted that
girl’s weakness which actually strengthened their relationship. But yet as God
intervened in their life, they got separated according to His will.
There were times in
our life we find weaknesses in the lives of the people whom we love a lot. We
have some expectations about them but they will fail to live up to our
expectations because of their own weakness. What we do in such state? We simply
blame them for their weakness and it affects our relationship with them.
We always wanted
everyone to accept us as we are with our own weakness and struggle. But yet we
fail to do that.
If you accept your
loved ones as they are with their weakness and struggle, you will definitely have
a peace filled wonderful relationship. Do not point out their weakness in front
of others. Rather pray for them and speak to them when they are alone in a
polite way.
When you began to love
your loved ones in-spite of their weakness, they will fall in love with you over
and over again. You will have a blessed relationship. Be strong to accept your
loved ones failures and weakness. Pray to God to strengthen them. You will have God’s peace in your life.
