QUOTES ON TOP

“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

GHG SHORT DEVOTIONALS - 57 (GOD IS NOT AGAINST YOU)

“For I will not contend forever, Nor will I always be angry; FOr the spirit would fail before Me, And the souls which I have made" - Isaiah 57:16

“நான் எப்போதும் வழக்காடமாட்டேன்; நான் என்றைக்கும்  கோபமாயிருப்பதுமில்லை; ஏனென்றால், ஆவியும், நான் உண்டுபண்ணின ஆத்துமாக்களும், என் முகத்துக்கு முன்பாகச் சோர்ந்துபோகுமே.” – ஏசாயா 57:16

To someone out there who is hating yourself for the things you have done in the past, God says, “I am not against you”. Today God wants you to know that He is not angry at you and He is not against you.

1.               You have despised God.

Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel…Why have you despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight?... because you have despised Me..." - 1 Samuel 12:7,9,10

Like David, you have sinned against God. You had disobeyed His word and law. By committing the sin, you have despised God. You had went away too far without thinking how it would have hurt Jesus Christ who loves you with an everlasting love. You did something against the Lord whom you had loved so dearly. That very thought is hurting you so badly today. And so, you are saying to yourself that you are in this situation feeling terrible, only because God is against you. You are thinking that God is still angry at you for what you have done.

Today God wants you to know that He hates sin but yet He loves you as you are weeping so badly today. Bible says in Lamentations 3:32 “Though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion according to the multitude of His mercies."

2.               God will show compassion upon you and He will never cast you away.

“The Lord is merciful and will not reject us forever." - Lamentations 3:31 (GNT)

Peter denied Jesus thrice. Later he had wept bitterly. Jesus Christ had never cast Peter away but He had shown His compassion upon Peter revealing Himself first to him among the disciples, when He rose again from the dead.

He will show compassion upon you.

3.               God will raise you up and you will be rebuilt.

“On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old…
Says the Lord who does this thing.” – Amos 9:11,12

The Lord Almighty who rebuild the fallen and broken ones says to you today, that He will rebuild you and you will be rebuilt. You will see God’s presence and glory in your life once again and you will stand for God says Holy Spirit to you today.
