QUOTES ON TOP

“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

THE LORD WILL PROVIDE

“And Abraham called the name of the place, The Lord will provide; as it said to this day, ‘In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided’.”  - Genesis 22:14

You might be going through financial struggle or you might be waiting for a blessing from the Hands of God for so many days. Your heart might have gone weary as you are struggling with so many problems in your life and you wish to have a stable life.

Today Jesus Christ is promising you that He will provide you what you need. You are children of great mighty God. There is no need for you to go and stand in front of any human asking their help.

Your relatives might not have helped you. Your close friends might have left you in this troublesome moment. Your family people might be against you. Do not get discouraged. Jesus Christ will provide you what you need.

You might be longing for money. Jesus Christ will provide you a good income. You might be longing for peace. Jesus Christ will provide you peace. You might be longing for forgiveness. Jesus Christ will provide you forgiveness for all the wrong you did. You might be longing for anything. Jesus Christ will provide what you ask Him today.

Many years back one day my elder brother saw a dream. In that dream he and my father were walking along with me in a busy market place. My father was looking around to get best things for me. As my father was looking around I ran to a friend of my father and begged him to give me something. I have my father to provide me but I ran to his friend begging him to give me something. My brother looked at my father. My father’s heart was grieved and my brother saw tearful saddened face of my father. Then Jesus Christ spoke to him saying if My people go to others and beg for help my heart will also grieve so much. Jesus Christ also promised that if my people look unto Me for anything, surely I will be their provider and they shall not lack anything.
Later after few months my brother marriage was fixed and the bride’s family offered more than one lakh rupees as dowry. But my brother declined that offer and he never demanded any money or any jewels. Even when I got married I never accepted any money and also I had never demanded any jewels. We decided to look to Jesus Christ alone for our needs and He blessed us a lot. Jesus Christ has honoured our decision not to get any dowry and He has blessed our marriage. Even today I and my brother live a life blessed by Jesus Christ without lacking anything.

My dear young friends take a decision today that you will never go to anyone except Jesus Christ for help. If you stick onto Jesus Christ for help, surely you will never be ashamed. Jesus Christ will provide all that you need and you shall not lack anything.

Jesus Christ says in Matthew 7:11, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him.”

As He promised, if you ask Him what you want, surely He will provide you all your needs. Do not run to any human for help. Do not grieve God’s heart by begging others to help you. You are children of Almighty God. Jesus Christ is your provider and He will provide you all that you ask Him.

Whatever might be your problem, ask Jesus Christ to help you. He will provide you His blessings and peace. His blessings and peace will always reside upon your lives. God bless you.

SEEK GOD FIRST AND PRAY MORE - A DEVOTIONAL BY RICK WARREN

“After this the armies of the Moabites, Ammonites, and some of the Meunites declared war on Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat was terrified by this news and begged the Lord for guidance." (2 Chronicles 20:1, 3 NLT)

Sometimes it seems the odds are against you. Brian Hice from Provo, Utah, had a day like that. First, his apartment became flooded from a broken pipe in the apartment above his. When he went to rent a water vacuum, he discovered that he had a flat tire. He changed it and went inside again to phone a friend for help. But standing in water and grabbing the phone gave him such a startling electrical shock that he accidentally ripped the phone off the wall. By the time he was ready to leave, water damage had swelled his door shut, and he had to yell for a neighbor to come and kick the door down. While all this was going on, somebody stole Brian's car. That evening, he attended a military ceremony at his university and injured himself severely when he somehow sat on his bayonet, which had been tossed on the front seat of his car. Doctors were able to stitch up his wound, but no one was able to resuscitate Brian's four canaries that were crushed by fallen plaster from the wet apartment ceiling. When he got back from the university, he slipped on the wet carpet and injured his tailbone. Brian said he began to wonder if “God wanted me dead but just kept missing.”

Have you ever had a day like that? What do you do when you're facing insurmountable, overwhelming problems?

Before you do anything else, you go directly to God. You say, “God, I am overwhelmed!” and you ask, “God, what do you think about this situation?” Your perspective is limited while God's perspective is eternal, so he can see the beginning and the end. He can see past, present, and future all at once. You need to get a bigger picture of what the problem really is that seems so overwhelming to you right now.

Too often we see prayer as a last resort rather than as our first thought. Prayer is usually something you do way down the line after you've tried everything else. People will say, “I guess all we can do now is pray!” like it's their last option.

Prayer should be your first choice, not your last resort. If you want God to help you overcome the odds in any area of your life, you have to turn to him first.

2 Chronicles 20:1, 3 says, After this the armies of the Moabites, Ammonites, and some of the Meunites declared war on Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat was terrified by this news and begged the Lord for guidance" (NLT). The "this" refers to a great national revival, a spiritual awakening. There was great prosperity and blessing in the land, and soon after there was war.

With every high, there is a low. After every victory, there is a letdown. And with every blessing, there comes a testing. You may not be in a battle right now, but you're going to be in one tomorrow or the next day or the day after that. You should expect blessing in your life, but you also need to expect battles in your life. You're going to have difficult times.

But you should never let an impossible situation intimidate you. Let it motivate you to pray more and turn to God first.

YOU WILL BE A BLESSING ONLY IF YOU OBEY GOD'S WORD

“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” – Philippians 2:8

Jesus Christ was obedient until His death on the cross. We also have to be obedient to receive God’s blessings in our life.

I know a young guy who was asked to preach God’s word in a college fellowship. He studied his UG degree in the same college and so the professor was conducts the fellowship know him very well. Weekly once the students used to gather in that professor’s house for a time of worship.

The young guy waited at God’s feet for God’s word and God clearly spoke to him through Holy Spirit asking him to share his entire life experience. He never had spoken about his bad past anywhere and so he was shocked. He was hesitating as the professor who conducts the fellowship had thought of him as a very holy person.

But as Jesus Christ insisted him to speak about his good and bad life experience, he obeyed His voice and went there. He spoke about the love of God explaining how God restored his spiritual life sharing all the past experiences openly. The fellowship got over and everyone left.

As he was sitting and talking with the professor, the professor’s wife came to him and told that a girl came to her with tears after the fellowship and said, “God spoke to me and what He spoke through that guy was exactly my life. I am so happy that Jesus Christ spoke about my life and His love upon me.”

The young guy was not at all a great preacher. He is an ordinary servant of God. But on that day as he obeyed God’s word literally, God blessed and encouraged a young girl through that guy.
Out of his obedience Jesus Christ brought blessings into the life of another girl. One guy’s obedience brought blessings into someone’s life.

Even today if you surrender your life to Jesus Christ and obey His will, you will be blessed and also others will get blessings through your life.

What Lord did as Jesus Christ lived a obedient life? Bible says in Philippians 2:9 clearly, “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.”

Jesus Christ was obedient and so Lord exalted Him. My dear young friends, if you obey God’s will, Jesus Christ will exalt you and will make your life a blessing to others.

CHRISTIAN BEST ONE LINERS - 9

Within the covers of the Bible are the answers for all the problems men face.

Faith is like taking the first step without seeing the whole staircase.

You often face your greatest opposition just before your miracle.

I was going to waste, but Jesus recycled me.

Preach the gospel at all times. If necessary, use words.

God loves everyone, but probably prefers “fruit of the spirit” over a “religious nut”.

Holding a grudge is letting someone live rent-free in your head.

Patience is trusting in God's timing.

Beware: two wrongs may make a riot.

It wasn't the apple on the tree, it was the pair beneath.

Kindness is in our power, even when fondness is not.

It takes a great man to give sound advice tactfully, but a greater to accept it graciously.

"Is the right question, "Where is the God of Elijah today?" or "Where are the Elijah's today?"

The more things change, the more we need to depend on God, who doesn't change.

It is the riches 'within', not the riches 'we possess', that makes for a happy life.

HONOR YOUR (SPOUSE) PARENTS

“For God commanded saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother’, and ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death’. But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God” then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.” – Matthew 15:4-6

There lived a world renowned servant of God in southern part of India. Many years back he got a physical problem. Doctors could not diagnose the reason and so he could not get a healing.

During that time, he fasted and asked God the reason for his sickness. God answered him through His Holy Spirit and told him that his mother’s bitterness was the reason for his disease. He could not understand that as his mother was dead at that time.

Actually his mother was in death bed when he was doing God’s ministry. As a mother she wants her son to be with her during her last days. But he didn’t bother about her desire and was doing God’s ministry tirelessly. His mother wish was not fulfilled and she died with bitterness upon him as he was away from her. Holy Spirit told him that her bitterness brought him the sickness.

Then the servant of God fasted for three days and prayed to God asking His forgiveness. Jesus Christ graciously had forgiven him and healed him.

My dear young friends, you have to honor your parent’s desire and wish. You might have got married. If you despise your parents or your spouse parents, remember that you grieve God’s heart. Once you grieve God’s Holy Spirit you might lose some of His blessings. Do not forget to honor your parents and your spouse parents.

You should never try to separate your spouse the relationship of his/her parents. Just imagine this illustration.

You have a seed and you know that if you nurture and take care of it properly it will grow as a huge tree and you can enjoy the shadow of it leisurely. So you labor day and night for the seed. You plant it in the good soil; you water it and slowly it grow as a plant. Then you put a fence around it and keep on watering it.

One fine day the seed has become a huge tree with so many branches and fruits. Now you are so proud about it and you think of enjoy its fruits and take rest in its shadow. But suddenly someone comes to you and say that the tree belongs to them and they alone will take rest in the shadow and they alone will have the fruits. How do you feel then?

Will not your heart get shattered? Surely your heart will get shattered and even you might curse the person who does that.

But if you clearly think it’s you who is doing this. Your spouse parents were the one who took care and raised your spouse inspite of all struggles and pain. Because of them your spouse reached a good position in the society. Then as they thought to take rest on his/her earnings you interfere and throw them out of their son/daughter’s house.

How would their heart feel about it? Do you think that you will live a blessed life when they grieve upon the injustice caused to them? Do you think that you will live a happy life when your spouse parents live a tear filled life?

My dear young friends you might be married or you might not. But take a resolution to honor your parents as well as your spouse parents. Provide them what all they desire for once upon a time they provided what you had wanted. Keep them happy and spend time with them. Do not have any hatred upon them and do not let them go weary and tired. If you keep them happy, honor them and provide what they wanted, surely Jesus Christ will bless you and reward you.

Bible says, “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” – Exodus 20:12

Honor your parents as well as your spouse parents. God will surely bless you.

IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER LIFE - TAKEN FROM A FORWARDED EMAIL

How should we pray?

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” (Matthew 6:6)

“..Pray without ceasing,” (I Thessalonians 5:17)

For whom should we pray?

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem...” (Psalms 122:6)

“…..pray for those who mistreat you” (Luke 6:28)

 “……pray for each other…” (James 5:16)

“…keep on praying for all the saints (God’s servants)” (Ephesians 6:18)

“….prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1 Timothy 2:1,2)

 When should we pray?

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” (Ephesians 6:18)

 Does God answer our prayers?

“From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the LORD his God. He said: “In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me. (Jonah 2:1,2)

When does God answer our prayers?

“……He answered their prayers, because they trusted in him”. (1 Chronicles 5:20)

Prayer brings joy to the Lord

“….the prayer of the upright pleases Him.” (Proverbs 15:8)

“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,   and his ears are attentive to their prayer….” (1 peter 3:12)

How does prayer reach God?

“…Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.”  (Revelation 5:8)

 What we should before prayer?

“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” (Mark 11:25)

 Our Role model: Jesus prayed

“Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray…” (Mathew 26:36)

GOD BLESS YOU

29 YEARS HAS GONE... JESUS CHRIST IS SO FAITHFUL

“But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” – II Thessalonians 3:3

Today is my birthday. I was born exactly 29 years ago on 15th May. When I look to my past years I can tell one thing for sure that Jesus Christ is faithful. He created me; He established me; He raised me and even today He leads me safely according to His will.

There were times I hated this life to the core and asked God to kill me but Jesus Christ was so patient with me. He took care of me in His mercy.

There were times I went through toughest moments and cried to Him to pull me out. Jesus Christ was with me at those times and He comforted me. Through some tough moments He taught me some important lessons which I never forgot in my life.

There were times I went behind worldly lust and left God’s love. Those were the times I loved sin and hated God. Even then Jesus Christ loved me and gave His grace to come out of those sins and He accepted me as I was.

I didn’t remember the incidents of my childhood days but I was always grateful to God for the parents He gave to me. I have seen some parents who never loved their children with all of their heart but my parents loved me and my brothers with all their heart and soul. They took care of me very well in spite of the poor economy situation that prevailed in our family.

I remember my father riding several kilometres in bicycle to earn some extra money for our family but he never complained about it to us. He did it to make us live in a comfortable situation. My mom also took care of the family very well and she did her best to run the family without any debt.

My parents encouraged us to do things for the glory of Jesus Christ. Even today they encourage me to write article in blog or to upload good Spiritual videos in you tube and to preach God’s word with God’s authority and so on. They pray for me so diligently whenever I go for God’s ministry. They don’t have knowledge about internet at all. They never look at my blog because they don’t know how to look at that but all they have is a pure love upon me and thirst to see me as God’s servant.

Even today I am very grateful to Jesus Christ for giving me such a good parents and for their life. I thank God for protecting them even today and keeping them alive. They are God’s best gift in my life and I will write about them in detail in some other article.

Jesus Christ gave me good brothers. They cared for me, advice me and they love me so much. I could not forget the prayers of my brothers that they did when I went through tough moments. There were times when I went through failures they stood by my side and encouraged me.

So many people God had sent in my life to make me live for Him. One among them is my best friend Iyyadurai. His love upon me is more than the love of a woman. I met him in the year 1999 and God permitted him to stay in my life till today and he was another best gift in my life given by Jesus Christ. He played with me, cried with me and stayed with me at all times even when I did wrong. He never blamed me harshly but instead he corrected me so softly.

Through many counsellors God corrected me and counselled me. I have some God given sisters who love me truly in spite of my weakness and I thank God for them.

And recently few months back God gave me a life partner. I have to surely mention about her. She was also a perfect gift given by God. Before her, my mother took care of all my needs in a perfect way and now she is trying her best to take care of me like my mother and I really appreciate her effort. My wife supports me in my worldly work as well in God’s ministry. Till now she never stood as a hindrance for any good work. Her love upon me is getting perfected through God’s grace day by day and God gave a pure love in my heart to love her and I know Jesus Christ will lead us in the future also.

I can tell about many people but as Holy Spirit led I will write about each and every one of them and about how God had sent them in my life to bless me in a separate article.

Overall I can say that even when I stood as an unworthy person to receive God’s blessing, He was faithful in His promise and He blessed me.

Even today my dear young friends, you might be going through a tough time or you might not be having any good friends or parents. Do not be discouraged. Jesus Christ will be your father, mother, friend, lover, brother and a partner to you. He will be your comfort and you will not lack anything. Our God is faithful. He is faithful enough to lead you, He is faithful enough to love you and He is faithful enough to carry you and raise you.

Just stick onto Jesus Christ. For the past 29 years Jesus Christ was so faithful and I know even in the coming years He will be faithful. I thank Jesus Christ for giving me life and leading me thus far.

He will do the same to you. He will carry you. He will establish you. He will sustain you and will protect you. God bless you.

All through this many years I never done anything to Jesus Christ but He has done everything to me and all glory belongs to Him.

THANK YOU SO MUCH JESUS FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE IN MY LIFE SO FAR. THANK YOU.

To God be the glory.
