“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

I WILL UPHOLD YOU WITH MY RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND SAYS JESUS CHRIST TO YOU

“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10

In the previous week suddenly I got physically weak. There were times I was about to faint. So went to doctor for diagnosis and it was found that my pressure was low and also bad cholesterol was high. To normalize my pressure I was asked to eat more and to reduce the cholesterol level I was asked to eat less.

As everything happened in an unexpected way I could not understand what I shall do. Day by day my health condition was getting worse and I could not stand for few minutes at all.

I felt so sad about it as I could not do even certain basic things. One day I had decided to ask God about this. I asked Him what He will tell me that I can walk in this path with courage. It’s a simple prayer I made but God was gracious enough to reply me and He said, “My son, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

I can’t say that things got better immediately but His promise brought so much courage in me to face all the problems. Till that time I was so afraid about everything but once God has given His promise I knew that He will take care of everything and He did take care of everything that had troubled me. Now I am getting better by His grace.

My dear young friends, even today you might be going through a tough situation which you can’t handle. Do not get discouraged. You are not alone in this path. God is with you.

Jesus Christ is promising you today that He will uphold you with His righteous right hand. He will not forsake you and His promises will never fail. He will give you the courage that you need to face the problems. Through Him you will conquer everything and you will not be put to shame.

Sometimes you are feeling that you can’t move on in your life as you had reached the bottom end of your life. God will provide His strength and He will carry you. You will emerge as a victorious person because the Hand that is carrying you is a Mighty and Powerful Hand.

Jesus Christ will help you and you will arise and shine for His glory.

"DADDY IS YOUR FACE TURNED TOWARDS ME?" - AN INSPIRATIONAL STORY TAKEN FROM THE WEB

A story is told of a husband who had lost his wife and a daughter who had lost her mother. After the funeral some of the close relatives noticed the pain of the husband and asked him, “Do you want us to take your daughter away for a few days so that you can have some time to grieve?” The man replied, “No, we are going to face this together.” So that night as the father was putting his daughter to bed she cried out, “Daddy, it is dark in here, may I sleep in your room?” His reply was, “Yes, you may sleep in my room.”

As they went into the father’s room, he turned off the light, his little girl cried out again, “Daddy it is dark in here too.” The father said, “Yes baby, I know it is dark.” Then the little girl said, “Daddy it is darker than it has ever been.” The father replied, “Yes baby, it is darker than it has ever been to me, too.” In the darkness the little girl asked, “Daddy, is your face turned toward me?” The dad said, “Yes, my face is turned toward you.” She said, “I can go to sleep now. Good Night Daddy”

After the little girl went to sleep, the father who was in such despair at the loss of his wife fell down upon his knees and asked, “God is your face turned toward me?”

He heard a voice gently say, “Yes My face is turned toward you.” The father said, “Okay, I can go to sleep now. Good Night Daddy”

You can make it through any situation you may face because the Father’s face is turned toward you. It may be darker than it has ever been in your life, but guess what? The Father’s face is turned toward you.

You have asked, “God it seems you are a million miles away. I can’t feel you, I can’t see you, and it’s so dark! Is your face turned toward me?

Let me assure you that He has His face turned toward you today, and the darker it gets, the closer He becomes.

SWEET MARRIAGE - 12 (UNDERSTAND AND HONOR YOUR SPOUSE)

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife...” – 1 Peter 3:7

My father in law usually leads worship in a church and he also plays music in keyboard. Few years back when I got married and came to know this, I always wanted to learn music from him. Years passed but I could not learn from him as he stays in another city.

Few months back he came to the city where I was staying and so one day he had spent some time in teaching me the basics of keyboard. He was teaching me the basic notes and I could not understand that much. Even after spending nearly an hour on learning I could not play it in an exact way.

As I was struggling my wife came inside that room and she said that she will play. I thought she is making fun. But then she came near to me and with one hand she beautifully played the notes. I was surprised. In our 4 years of marriage life, I had no knowledge about the talents she had. She had never showcased her talents to me and I had never tried to know about her hidden talents.

Not only in music but in so many other ways she is far better than me. I struggle to memorize Bible verse whereas she recites any Bible verse with so much ease. By God’s grace I had preached in various places but I always struggle to remember the verse. My wife had never preached in any place but yet she could remember so many Bible verses.

My wife was so spiritual than me in all aspects but yet she had never failed to appreciate the articles I write and the messages I share. She could understand me very well than the way I understood her and she had honoured me which I had failed to do.

In recent days God taught me how I should appreciate my wife for the talents she had and He also put in my heart that I should try to understand her more.

I always felt happy when my wife appreciated me. I know she will be happy if I also understand her and appreciate her for the little things she does for me. That will increase the love between us which will be good for our marriage life.

My dear young friends, God wants us to dwell with our spouse with understanding and we should honor and love each other.

You might feel like your spouse is not so talented. That actually means you had not understood your spouse completely. Spend some quality time to understand your spouse and appreciate the little things your spouse does. God has given your spouse to you for a purpose and you have to honor your spouse for what they do in your life and for being with you at all times. Then your marriage life will be blessed and you will live in peace.

GOD IS KIND AND GOOD TO THE UNGRATEFUL AND THE WICKED - VALENTINE'S DAY SPECIAL

“...because He Himself is kind and gracious and good to the ungrateful and the wicked.” – Luke 6:35

God created Adam for a purpose and He placed him in the garden of Eden. He created him in His own image. But one day Adam sinned and hid himself from the presence of God among the trees of the garden. He was hiding but yet God came in search of him.

In Acts chapter 9 we read about the encounter Saul had with God. Saul was the one who persecuted every single person who followed Jesus and he had put them in prison. He was a threat to the disciples of Jesus Christ. But yet when he was travelling to Damascus, Jesus Christ revealed Himself to him and changed his life. He transformed Saul who once was a evil person and did many harm things to those who followed Jesus Christ.

On those days when it was unlawful for a Jewish man to associate with a Gentile, God had chosen Peter to go and preach His gospel to the household of Cornelius. God cared for that family and he spoke to Cornelius through vision to call Peter and also he spoke to Peter not to call anything unclean which God has cleansed. God loved the household of Cornelius though he was a gentile.

In Luke 6:35, Jesus Christ beautifully records the wonderful character of the Lord Almighty. He says that God is kind, gracious and good to the ungrateful and the wicked also. He doesn’t say that God is kind and good to those who fear Him alone. He says God does good to those who are unthankful and wicked.

Matthew 5:45 says, “...He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

God does good to those who fear Him. That’s true. But also He sends rain on the unrighteous and do even good to those who are ungrateful and wicked.

My dear young friends, God loves those who are wicked and ungrateful. His love has no partiality. His love is so great that He is gracious upon them who were unrighteous, ungrateful and wicked. Even today God wants you to understand that He loves you truly.

I know a young guy who did so many wicked things. He lived a life which was not according to God’s will. He committed so many sins and was living in a deep sinful pit. His life was a total mess and there were times he wondered whether God still loved him.

God was so gracious to him. He did so many good things to him even when he was away. God protected his life from death as he struggled a lot in his life. He spoke to him even when he was away from him and lifted him from the pit that he was living. God loved him so much and He transformed his life entirely. Today that young guy is blessed and doing God’s work for His glory.

Peter denied Jesus but the love that Jesus Christ had upon him was never changed. Jesus Christ made him as His Apostle.

Even today Jesus Christ loves you. His love upon you has never changed. You had left Jesus long back. You love the worldly things more than Jesus Christ. Sometimes you think that if you come to Jesus you have to leave so many worldly pleasures that you enjoy now.

Today Jesus Christ says to you that He loves you so much and He wants you to come back. You are alive today because Jesus Christ is so gracious upon you. Though you went far away Jesus Christ is doing good to you. He is waiting for you to come to Him so that He can bless you richly and use you for His glory.

My dear young friend, Jesus Christ loves you as you are.
