“...I am the Lord, who
heals you.” – Exodus 15:26
In Matthew 17:14-18, we read about a
man who came to Jesus and told Him that his son was suffering a lot because of
a demonic spirit and pleaded Jesus to heal his son. Actually he brought his son
to the disciples of Jesus but yet they could not heal him. And so after that he
brought his son to Jesus and pleaded Him to heal his son. Jesus asked the
father to bring his son and He rebuked the demon and healed his son.
A lady who was living in a
particular Arab nation got cancer. She approached the doctors to help her but
yet doctors told her that the cancer reached the last stage and so she will die
soon. She could not believe their words and so she came to India for further
diagnosis. She reached Bombay and met few doctors there. They also told the
same and hearing their words she cried a lot.
Someone told her that there is a
great servant of God in another city and asked her to go to him so that she will
get healed. With so much hope she reached the city and then she found out that
the servant of God was not available in that city at that moment. She felt
devastated but then she heard information that the particular servant of God is
conducting crusade in Bombay.
With so much of hope she travelled
again to Bombay and reached the specific ground where the meeting was conducted
at 3 o clock in the afternoon. The meeting was scheduled to start at 6 o clock
in the evening. As she waited there she could not see anyone there. Then she
approached a security person and asked him about the meeting.
He told her that the meeting got
over the day before and the servant of God had left the city. When she heard
his words, she ran alone to a corner and cried loudly as she could not hold her
tears. Then a Man approached her and asked why she is crying. With so much
sorrow she explained her life situation to Him and said that she could not meet
the servant of God.
That Man looked at her with so much
love and said, “Do not cry. My son might have gone to another place but I am
here for you to heal you.” She could not understand what He said and so she
asked Him who He is. To which that Man replied, “I am Jesus.” Immediately He
disappeared and as He disappeared she saw the nail pierced hand. At that very
moment she got healed.
Actually she went in search of a
servant of God hoping that she will receive God’s healing through him. But yet
she could not find him. As she was filled with sorrow and as she cried to God,
Jesus appeared to her and healed her.
My dear young friends, you might
have kept your trust on so many people hoping that they will help you in your
difficult times. Today pour out your heart cry to God. Jesus Christ will help
you and bring you out of the danger situations. You might have run to doctors
for healing but yet you could not receive the healing. You might have went to
so many servants of God for prayer but yet so far you have not received your
blessing.
Today Jesus Christ promises you that
He will come to you and heal you. People on whom you had kept your trust might
have failed you. But Jesus Christ will never fail you. You will receive your
blessing and you will live.
