QUOTES ON TOP

“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

GHG SHORT DEVOTIONALS - 48 (VALUE AND HONOUR THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD)

“But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? - Luke 1:43

Today Holy Spirit wants me to tell you to value the presence of God that was present in your life.

1.     Value and Honour the presence of God.

“Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here." - Exodus 33:15

When Israelites turned their face to an Idol, God said to Moses that He will not go up in their midst. But Moses knew how important the presence of God is. And so, he pleaded to God for His presence and he was determined not to move forward without the presence of God. Moses valued the presence of God.

God has carried you thus far. If He had not intervened in your life, you would have perished long back. Do not murmur against Him who is carrying and leading you. You those who are saved by God, remember not to turn your face towards an idol for any reasons says Holy Spirit to you today. Value God’s presence that was existing in your life right now. Only His presence can give you rest.

“I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel” – Galatians 1:6

2.     Value and Honour the Holy Spirit that God has given you.

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." - Ephesians 4:30

“Now the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul..." - 1 Samuel 16:14

God appointed Saul as the King over Israelites. Once Saul was so little in his own sight. But God made him the head of the tribes of Israel. But then he failed to obey the voice of the Lord. The Lord Almighty regretted for making Saul as king over Israel. Then Bible records that the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul.

You are in this position today because of Him and not by your own strength. You know that too says Holy Spirit to you and then why you are hardening your heart against God and His word. God wants you to repent today before it was too late. Do not disobey God’s voice and do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God.

3.     Value and Honour the Grace of God that was provided to you.

I do not set aside the grace of God…” – Galatians 2:21

Guard against turning back from the grace of God…” – Hebrews 12:15 (GNT)

Bible says in Ephesians 2:5, “that while we were spiritually dead in our disobedience he brought us to life with Christ. It is by God's grace that you have been saved.

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:10, “I am what I am by God’s grace…”

You are what you are today by God’s grace. Once you were dead and were living a sinful life. But through God’s grace, you were brought to life with Christ. And today God wants you to live Holy as He is Holy. You have gone back to the sinful pleasures of the world by turning back from the grace of God.  Few of you are feeling proud and thinking that you are living a righteous life than others around you through your own strength and will power. By thinking so you are setting aside the grace of God that is in your life which is leading you to live a righteous life before God.

Today God wants you to humble yourselves before His presence and repent from the sins and pride filled thoughts.

I am giving you a chance today to get back to Me, My child, says God to someone out there. God’s heart is longing to have you back in His presence. Listen to His voice today and obey Him. Return back to Him leaving all the sinful pleasures. Value and Honor God. You will not perish.
