“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

YOU MIGHT BE PERPLEXED BUT GOD WILL MAKE YOU GLAD

Esther 3:15 “….. the city of Shushan was perplexed.”

Esther was an orphan. She was taken care by a man named Mordecai. Bibles says Mordecai took her as his own daughter. God raised Esther as the Queen in the kingdom of Ahasuerus.

You might be also living a life like an orphan. You might have lost your father or mother or both. You might have your parents but yet you might live like an orphan for they don’t care about you at all. Do not worry about your future.

God who raised Esther as a queen will also raise you to a highest position in the society you are living in. Surely God will do mighty things in your life.

As Esther found grace and favor in the sight of King Ahasuerus, he raised her as the queen. At the same time he raised and promoted a man named Haman and had set his seat above all princes.

At one particular moment when Mordecai refused to bow to Haman, he sought to destroy all the Jews who were living throughout the kingdom of Ahasuerus.

So a decree was written to destroy and kill all the Jews. As the decree was proclaimed in Shushan, the city was perplexed.

Many a times in our lives we get perplexed when someone rises against us. Even today you might go through a situation where you have someone against you in your work place or in your college or in your relative circle. What you have to do in such a situation?

As the city of Shushan got perplexed all the Jews including Esther looked to God in fasting for three days and God heard their cry. As you keep on reading the further chapters of Esther you will come to know that Haman was hanged on the gallows. God destroyed the enemy and the Jewish people were saved by the mighty hand of God.

Esther 8:15 “….the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad”

The same city that was perplexed was filled with joy and gladness. God will do the same to you.

You might be filled with sorrow; someone might have come against you and you might have got perplexed because of that person; your life was in danger because of the sickness or sin. Do not lose hope. Jesus Christ will give joy and gladness in your life. All you have to do is to look at Him. He will be your refuge. He will drive away all the enemies those who come against your life. What they had desired to do in your life will happen in their life but you will be safe in the gracious hands of God. You might be perplexed thinking about the uncertain future. Do not get discouraged for Jesus Christ will surely fill your future with joy and gladness. God will carry you, sustain you, protect you, bless you and will raise you.
