QUOTES ON TOP

“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

SWEET MARRIAGE - 4 (DO NOT CONVERSE ALONE WITH ANYONE WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR SPOUSE)

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'" - Genesis 3:1-3.

When the serpent initiated a conversation with Eve, she was all alone. The serpent started with a query and slowly he kept on talking and finally he concluded with a lie. As the conversation progress, Eve could not find out that the serpent was lying.

The conversation relationship that Eve started with the serpent, took her close to him leaving God and Adam behind. Her lonely conversation with someone outside the marriage caused a deep trouble in her marriage relationship with Adam.

Any lonely conversation that you have with someone without the knowledge of your spouse will bring a great trouble in your marriage life. It will get you attached with that particular person without your knowledge and automatically you will get detached from your spouse and God.

You might say that you have to do lot of conversation because the nature of your job demands that. It might demand but you should have everything in a limit and definitely your spouse should know with whom you are talking and for what purpose you are talking.

If you are talking unnecessarily for a long time with someone other than your spouse, stop it right now so that your marriage life will be blessed.

I know a Christian family in a particular city where I lived for few years. They lived a happy married life and God has blessed them with little children. Everything was going good in their life and God lifted the husband to a higher level in his job. His work nature made him to discuss several things with a woman.

Their conversation slowly went outside the job and soon they begun to talk so many things in general. They didn’t get into any physical relationship but yet they talked for so many hours. The wife noticed the change in her husband as she saw him talking to someone when he was alone. Then the wife understood that her husband is not doing what is right. Once she found out something was not right, she begun to doubt her husband.

Her husband never did anything intentionally. It started somewhere and reached somewhere. But yet their marriage life got affected a lot. People thought that their marriage life will end. But few Spiritual people, who were around that couple intervened, prayed and counseled the husband as well as the wife.

The husband understood his mistake and he decided to stop all the unnecessary conversation with others. He did that and God blessed his effort. Now that family is living a peaceful life.

My dear young friends, do not engage in any unnecessary conversation. Also do not talk with anyone for hours without the knowledge of your spouse. If you decide to stop all the unnecessary conversation with others, you will have a peace filled marriage life. Detach yourself from unnecessary people and get yourself attached with your spouse and God. God will bless your marriage life.
