QUOTES ON TOP

“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

GOD WILL FULFILL HIS PROMISE IN YOUR LIFE

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? - Numbers 23:19

One day Jesus was walking by the sea and he saw two brothers Simon called Peter and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea. He went to them and told them to follow Him and also promised them that He will make them the fishers of men.

Simon Peter would have felt different. All the days he was catching fish and that day he heard something different called fishers of men. He might have got excited and so he immediately left the net and followed Jesus. He just trusted the promise of Jesus and left all that he had.

Immediately nothing has changed in his life. Day and night Jesus was doing miracles and Peter was not doing anything but watching Jesus. He had no major role among the 12 disciples of Jesus.

One fine day a father brought his son who was tormented by an evil spirit to the disciples of Jesus begging them to cast it out. Peter was one among the disciples of Jesus. He had seen Jesus casting out demons simply. So he might have given a try but nothing happened. They could not help that father. Jesus came and did a miracle in that young boy’s life and brought joy to the father.

Peter might have thought that he could not do even few percent of what Jesus has done and then how could he be the fishers of men? The promise of the God and the present situation of Peter were far apart. There were no signs of the fulfilment of the promise.

Later Peter denied Jesus and Jesus died. The one who gave him the promise that he will be the fisher of men had died. Peter would have thought that it is the end of everything. So he went out to fishing having all his hope lost and future seems darkened.

But then came Jesus who has risen from the death. He appeared to Peter and made him to feed His sheep.

Peter started to preach and thousands of people were saved and got baptized. God made him to write epistles which was included in Bible and through that God is speaking to generations after generations. As God promised He fulfilled His promise in Peter’s life.

Even today you might be going through a path where you feel you are far apart from God’s promise. There might not be any sign of God’s promise getting fulfilled in your life. You might feel like Jesus has gone out from your life. Do not get discouraged. God will never leave you orphan. He is not a human to lie. He will do things in your life according to what He has promised you. Trust God. God will never forsake you. Your life situations will change and God’s promise will get fulfilled in your life.
