QUOTES ON TOP

“I want something really worthwhile to live for. I want to invest this one life of mine as wisely as possible, in the place that yields the richest profits to the world and me…wherever it is, I want it to be God’s choice for me and not my own… Christ said, “He that would find his life shall lose it” and proved the truth of this divine paradox at Calvary. I want Him to lead me and His Holy Spirit to fill me.” – Betty Stam

WHO IS IN YOUR BOAT? (SURRENDER YOUR LIFE TO GOD AND BE BLESSED)

In Matthew 8:24 and Jonah 1:4, we read about the storm that troubles a boat and ship at different occasions. The storm creates a great wind and mighty tempest on the sea. The waves were about to destroy the boat and ship. Everyone who travelled in the boat and the ship was afraid. On those two incidents, one particular person was sleeping in the boat. On the boat, Jesus Christ was sleeping and on the ship Jonah was sleeping. That made a huge difference.

The disciples of Jesus Christ were so afraid that they ran to Jesus pleading for help. On the other incident, the captain of the ship ran to Jonah and pleaded him to pray.

Jesus stood up and rebuked the winds and waves. Immediately it became calm. The boat was safe because they had Jesus in it.

The ship carried Jonah and it created trouble for them. He was going in the ship against God’s will. That had put everyone in that ship to trouble.

In your life, you might also be facing troubles. This is the time you have to analyse who is in your life? Do you have Jesus Christ in your life who can calm the troubles and trials or do you carry someone like Jonah against God’s will?

You might be in a relationship that was not pleasing God. Today God wants you to throw that someone you are carrying against God’s will in your heart. You might be afraid that what will happen to that person if you throw them away. You might fear that they should not end up in losing their life in sorrow. God has arranged some other alternative to take care of that particular person. It’s not your problem. It’s God’s problem to take care of that other person.

You should be careful enough to obey God right now.   If you come out of that unnecessary relationship you will have peace and joy in your life.

You might be doing sinful things that were not pleasing in the sight of God. Today God wants you to throw that sin away and come to Him. You are facing a restless life because of that sin. God wants you to live in peace and harmony. Certain sins that you are doing secretly might have greater impact in your marriage life and personal life in the near future. God wants you to repent before your life sinks. You will have God’s peace if you surrender your life to God today.

My dear young friends, who is in your lifeboat? Have Jesus with you at all the moments. If you have Him in your life, He will do things for you. He will fight the battles for you. He will protect you and will give you His blessings. Give your life control to Jesus Christ. He will lead you safely.
